I just have to say, not even having played this game, that auto generator dial is genius. Maybe it's more a friendly upkeep helper than it is a mechanism, but still impressive.

Rahdo, thanks so much for the runthrough! Your videos were the main reason I bought this, and it did not disappoint! Keep up the great work!

You should have paid the water to the clay worker instead of gaining one at 27:30.

Reading the rules I have a few comments: both players play a face down card at the same time. Matching is done between a card revealed and cards still in the hand. Everyone will play 3 cards as actions, but not everyone will play the two bonus that can be obtained from following. I think Jen would have been able to play one more card.

the playing cards face down simultaneously is how the game works for 3 and 4p games. for 2p the rules are different (page 10 of the rules)

You forgot to do your free action with the Pit Worker at the 27:00 mark.

Thanks for explaining that. Big difference for the two player with that rule.

Richard, you should have 12 buildings available to be built instead of 9 for a 2 player game. The draw stack should be placed off of the buildings board. From the rules: "In games with 1 to 3 players, draw 4 Building tiles from each stack and place them separately on the spaces next to the stacks. Draw 5 Building tiles per stack in games with 4 players"

yup, i'd already added a note about that dumb oversight! thanks :)

at 20:30 when the feudal Lord was played, should the tiles have been picked from the face down or face up tiles?
@rahdo11 жыл бұрын
just double checked the rules, and yeah, it's a blind draw (face down tiles)

Stretch goal for Rahdo run through 2014: google glasses. So much fun dealing with cards with one hand :), maybe if you reach 10k or something crazy you could justify getting those.
@rahdo11 жыл бұрын
are google glasses actually available for purchase? i didn't think they were...

***** i think you can put your name on a list to get them, i'm not 100% sure it'd work for you, but it'd at least free up your hands, curious if you could rig up some sort of mount. Love your videos, they are so helpful in what i have purchased, so much more so than any other i've seen.

Why only nine buildings on the display? I thought that there were supposed to be twelve buildings - four of each type - available each round in the 1-3 player game. The face-down stacks of buildings don't go on the display board, I believe.

yup, i was an idiot about that. note already added! :)

Hey Rahdo! Does Jen have an online store where she sells those glass pieces?

I thought that when you take one action, the other person that has the same card had to take the other action. Does the other person really get to choose between the two actions too?
@rahdo9 жыл бұрын
Paulo Junior yup, if multiple players invite the same guy, each gets their choice of one option. if one player alone invites the same guy, they get both options :)

So... if noone doubles up on actions second player never gets to play their 5th card?
@rahdo11 жыл бұрын
yup, though bear in mind, that's the way it works for 2p. for 3 & 4p game, it works very differently :)
