Very glad you're doing another Lacerda game. I think you're the best at associating theme and mechanics. Your teach of the Gallerist is still my favorite.

thank you :)

Looking at the 1st turn, I feel the first player has a big advantage on that turn : 1st player got some science + doing a free action of putting a robot free, while Jen had no choice but to pay to put 1 leasly robot and do nothing else...

Great run through! I’m scheduled to play this as my first game at Geekway Mini tomorrow here in St. Louis!

Whew! Haven't played my copy yet but my initial impression is that it's the most complicated Lacerda yet.

Great to see Vital back in your rotation. Still think you need to give On Mars another try- so, so much communal interaction in that game and 3 plays in the rules really gel (I know, limited plays for you). I wonder how it would work if the little portrait of you playing could instead focus on your player board or at least switch as needed. I find the zoom and pan just a hair jarring in a game like this where it's a constant reference (and the zoom gets pretty grainy). Thanks for the runthrough!

Great run through, and I'm glad to see you digging your teeth into Lacerda again. FYI - the overhead camera is out of sync with the smaller picture-in-picture talking head camera. It's a few frames behind for some reason.
@rahdo Жыл бұрын
yeah that happens sometimes. i'm recording the main overhead camera in 4k so depending on the state of my cpu, sometimes its a bit behind the other camera. i've tried a bunch of stuff to fix it but nothing helps consistently, it's very intermittent. i've just decided to live with it because most folks don't notice :(
@seangeraghty Жыл бұрын
@@rahdo It is certainly not a big deal, and you're right - most won't notice. I do as I've worked in video editing. Keep up the good work!

At 30:54 Jen took a lab voucher but should have moved up on the funding track instead.

it was already noted on the Klingon subtitles... that and other goofs that you didn't catch... Like Richard said at the start of the video, "Please Turn On the Klingon Subtitles to see when I goof up"

I saw your list of games that you played but then gave away and many have "too cutthroat for us", what do you mean by this? I am not a native speaker
@rahdo Жыл бұрын
cutthroat means the game creates a lot of opportunities for players to attack each other or steal from each other or destroy each other's stuff, etc. :)

The tile setup is wrong

paulo noted it in the klingon subtitles i believe :)

I wish I’d backed this but seeing mixed reviews. Is there something specific you did not like?
@ОлексійНікітін-ц2п Жыл бұрын
I didn't like the part that you need to cooperate with another player to put 2 robots. This seems somewhat stupid because you are getting almost everything the same, in this case not much sense to put second robot, better to try to snatch it with both your robots, but in this case your first robot will get stuck for a while. Well, this part is not balanced for 2p game.
@rahdo Жыл бұрын
you don't "need" to co-operate with anyone. you can put all 2 or 3 robots on a given experiment if you prepare and time things correctly, and the game gives you plenty of opportunity to see what's coming down the pike in 2 or 3 rounds. but if i start working on an experimental branch, you'll be really missing out by not jumping on board as well. getting research papers is the most important thing to pursue, and say "nah, i donj't want to help, so i'll pass on the research bonus" is not a good strategy imo :)
