Here's the latest word about availability from 3/30/2017 from Alex Yeager of Mayfair Games on BGG: "Here's the deal: we (Mayfair) finally gave up on trying to get the remaining Essen stock of these over here to sell, especially since we now have a plan to get this out over here (I'm working on the new rulebook - no changes to rules or card text, I promise). So, the Lookout guys have made a run to retrieve the copies sitting on the rogue pallet over there, and as those are available, they'll put them up. In the meantime, we'll have an English-only edition out as soon as I can stop futzing around on BGG and get the rules rewritten...."

That was good Richard, I do hope I can get it in Australia. I played "oh my goods" on the weekend and the guys were worried that it would be like Port Royal but still played Oh my goods. They loved it. Just goes to show the designer has made games to all different types of taste.

I also bought this based on your recommendation and yes it improves the games. Note that you have to order from their web store as I couldn't find it anywhere else. Shipping within Europe was cheap as chips also.

I got it from Spiel Shop in Germany shipped to Spain. shop.lookout-spiele.de/?s=longsdale&x=0&y=0 just over 2 weeks ago. The game you buy comes in both English and German in the same pack. Sadly it looks like they 'may' be out of stock at the moment.

About Oh My Goods and Longsdale revolt: Yes, I like the game, I only play solo, it's innovative and I love the concept of this expansion. However, I'd like to advise people who like me don't like 'casino-like luck-based' and who cannot play the game 25+ times only to achieve a 10% to 25% wins (if very lucky). (I'm disabled, can't just keep going at it till the universe lines all the proper card in the right order in solo mode). I'm happy to say I have been able to modify it to make it at least winnable-ish and enjoyable. But everything from your hand, the market, the assistant to choose from actually matching the scenario you are playing, the event deck order is absolutely based on sheer luck! Had a game yesterday where no building needed (was told to produce food), chain production, assistants, market, events lined up at all. It was impossible to win and I knew that from event card 3. You need 32 building points which means if you don't build one each turn, you are screwed. Anyway, just wanted to add my two cents about solo. If you love slot machines and trying till those cherries line up, near impossible odds and trying till you finally win, then yes, you will adore this game :D

Yes! This is what I've been waiting for. I am not fond of that game but I wish that other Euro-publishers take this to heart: story driven games.

It's weird how they translated it to "Longsdale in Revolt", while the very literal translation would be "Longsdale in Uproar", which I think actually works better.

I hate that Mayfair made very limited amount of these. After watching your video, I find it necessary to have the expansion. Let's hope Mayfair actually makes more. I couldn't find any copies even used ones anywhere. Kinda sad for my collection. But, Great video! Thanks 😄

Been playing this solo. It's great but i'm still stuck on the first chapter! Lost out by one point on my last attempt, but it feels like the game's 'clicked' for me now.

i haven't tried it solo, but i've read multiple times that it's very well liked (and very challenging) as a solo

Hey Rahdo, i really like the game but i'm not quite sure about the rules. After completing an objective do you leave all the buildings out and keep the money for the next objective, or do you start with nothing like it would be a new game?

Every chapter is a new game. However cards from the old chapters are shuffled into the deck, so every chapter has all the old cards + some new cards.

Really nice review! I would like to try the base game and the expansion. I read in your Top 10 "Bigger on the Inside" Games that probably a sequel Oh My Goods/Longsdale in Revolt. Do you have more news about it?
