It seems that Raheem Morris was more concerned about what the defense was going to do, more than what WE NEEDED to win the game. I'm not buying his excuse. Taking a time out after we got the 1st down was a no brainer. We had just enough time to at least get two more plays in to get closer for the field goal kicker. We could've ran the ball because we had two time outs. Our chances of winning were greater with taking a timeout. What's the point of having them if you're not going to use them???

This doesn’t even make sense - Morris is just a good talker (BSer). The first half explanation ignores the fact that the only reason they had to take 3 shots into the enzone instead of running the regular offense is b/c they already wasted way too much time. Then the part about WAS getting the ball back is nonsense. Once you get around midfield, scoring a TD far outweighs the risk of you giving them the ball back in their own territory with maybe 30 secs in the half. Then he’s just flat out lying with the 2nd half explanation. Ignoring the fact that that rationale is stupid af…if the personnel stuff was actually the reason, he would have said it yesterday. But beyond that….WHO TF CARES ABOUT PERSONNEL WHEN THE CLOCK IS RUNNING OUT. It was only 40 seconds left - WAS had their 11 best on the field anyway. But idgaf if all their starters were on the bench, having the 3+ extra plays is way more important than whatever imaginary mismatch Morris created after the game.

Two things can be true: he’s qualified, but he also managed time poorly. Pete Carroll is a qualified coach. He made a dumb ass decision not giving Marshawn the ball last play Supervowl XLIX Dan Quinn, qualified but made the dumb ass decision to have Matt Ryan keep throwing in Super Bowl LI. It happens, but what annoys me is he’s making excuses and making it more elaborate of a decision than it needed to be. He was gambling time to run the clock down in hopes they’d also score. Agreed. Their defensive line wasn’t all that good. They had a few pressures but Penix was only sacked 2x. The biggest blow to us was Daniels’ running. We couldn’t stop him. He was the leading rusher of the game (more than our entire team). We were leading 17-7 at one point, they then outscored us 23-7. Terrible.

If you're that concerned about what defense Quinn is going to call, you call timeout, get your play in and talk to your team making them aware of what to be aware of and what to do.
