Well, he did say in the other video that he was "dissapointed" that there is a backing track playing, and mentioned the Auto Tune and/or Auto Correction possibly used during the Tiny Desk event. Thing is, if they can sing like this without any vocal "adjustments" while dancing, why would they use the Auto Tune or the Auto Correction in their songs during the Tiny Desk event? Just sayin....
@vira57234 жыл бұрын
Flash357 I know what you mean. BTS got vocals. We all know that. But again I do appreciate the reactions even if I didn’t hear what he heard. I thought the boys did an amazing job and they continue to kill it no matter what stage they are given to showcase their skills!
@1flash35714 жыл бұрын
@@vira5723 It does get annoying when some reactors say that they use Auto Tune because the performance was really good and think that they used some vocal adjustments because others uses them. It is almost automatic for them to say it. Honestly, I don't know if BTS use Auto Tune or something similar or not, but some just have to mention it as if singers can't sound that good without Auto Tune. I know they are music producers, but can they really tell if singers use Vocal Adjustments or not by just listening to them through YT? There are other reactors who are experts or are in the music industry and they said that they didn't use Auto Tune....

Just a note: this wasn't a set, this place is the Gyeongbokgung palace, the main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty built in 1395. The outfits they're wearing are a form of fusion hanbok (Korean Traditional Clothing), so there is a posibility they did all of these on purpose to showcase Korean culture to the US TV, which I find very cool.

Rahim, I have a video suggestion for you. Why don't you do a video explaining backing tracks, post-production/autotune, sound engineering, etc, for live performances by artists (american artists, korean, german, etc). From observing other comment sections, I realized that most people (who don't work in music or never cared about the behind-the-scenes) have 0 idea about the production side of both recorded or live singing. I think they get offended because they honestly don't know about the sound engineering behind "live music" and their ears were never trained to notice sound production differences.

This was filmed in a royal palace called 'Gyeong-bok-gung', a palace from Joseon Dynasty (the old Korean Kingdom from the 14th century to the 19th century), and it is located in Seoul, the capital city of South Korea. There are a few palaces in Seoul, but this one is the biggest and most famous one. The outfits they are wearing is the Korean traditional clothing called 'Hanbok' and the accessory they wear on their waist is Hanbok accessory called 'Norigae', which is also from the Joseon Dynasty. They also have several Korean traditional musical instruments mixed in this song. Some of the lyrics are also taken from the Korean traditional music genre called 'Gugak'. This song is the epitome of BTS proudly showcasing their Korean identity and cultural heritage through music

This is the reason why I am constantly calling bullshit on ARMY. We keep making exaggerated statements, like "BTS doesn't know autotune", and defensively saying it's just a joke, to lighten up. Because some members of ARMY don't get that it's a joke. And then when honest reacters make factual statements, those clueless members of ARMY go off on them. We can't, as a fandom, encourage outrageous statements and exaggerations, and then deny any culpability when certain members take it too far. We have to do better as a fandom and call out when people make these kinds of statements and comments. We can't constantly go under BTS performances for the world, and not just kpop fans, and comment things like this. All it does is invite rational, normal, honest people to say "but you can clearly see/hear that it is not true..." We force people to negate what we say, we force people to go on the offensive, and then act hurt and upset about having to be defensive. If we NEVER say stupid shit like "BTS doesn't know autotune", then no one would EVER have to say "they use autotune", because, obviously, ALL ARTISTS DO THAT. So we turn non-issues into issues, and then get mad. Like the boy who cried "wolf", if we never do it, then on the few occasions when we do, people would actually believe us. Anyone with ears could tell there were backing tracks - there were harmonizations that NO ONE WAS SINGING - those sounds didn't just magically emerge from their bodies, they were pre-recorded. That is a statement of fact - making that statement doesn't mean you are hating on them, it is simply a matter of being able to see what IS, and being okay (or not) with that. Denying it doesn't change it.
