Sir , how we can say that if limit does not exist at end points then function is not uniformly continuous eg. f(x)=x is uniformly continuous on(1,infinity ) but limit at infinity do not exist.

Sir I think your definition of connected set is the definition of convex set. For convex set joining line must be straight line,for connected set joining line may be curved line ie there must be a connection between these two points....

Dense set If A cluser is equal to R then A is called dense not limit point On the other hand If A'=R then A is called perfact set .

Hello...sir If we do second question with interval (0,1) by using theorem that f is u.c. if it's derivative is bounded on (0,1) then it is not true for x.sin1/x

Rahul ji, u said since lim sin(1/x) does not exist as x tends to 0, it is not UC, but limsinx as x tends to infinity doesn't exist, however it is UC. Can u please clarify

for f(x)=e^x if xn= ln (n) and yn= ln (n+1) then |xn-yn| -> 0 but |f(xn) -f(yn)| =1 > epsilon. so e^x non uniform continu. am i wrong?
