Yeah you may be right or this may be his core intension but in the IES cadre job right now I am seeing corruption is taking full control and even newly recuited guys are doing it. And this hurts the nation as whole. As govt servents we think we are making more money but in reality the actuall money is being earned by contractors and politicians, but no body thinks about the bigger picture. And trust me there is nothing like power in being govt servent its only your personality that matters. So if you are ethically intact then you will sidelined or you will be looking for other opportinuity.

A skilled engineer in government sector gets a maximum of 3 lakhs per month at the time of retirement...... But in private sector it is 5 to 10 lakhs at the time of joining itself....... More over there will be interactions of politicians in government service.... in private sector interactions only with learned and experienced and talented people

Bro if possible then do the M Tech for some good IIT or IISc and try to learn real engineering in that college as if you did it sucessfully then you will be earning 5x more money then what these Govt jobs can offer you. But try to learn real engineering not what you learned in your college syllabus. Engineers are creators once you are at that stage you will never think about money as it is already in abundance for you at that time. and about TA matter if you like then sharing your learings and making Jouniors open the doors of curiocity is the best thing you can do in your college days. Rat race of Govt jobs will give them nothing in current senario. Govt job is praised as during colonial era as we are slaves of birtish becz its better to be with our masters then own your own. And if you want to see what people can achieve in life after good learing then visit Banglore and Gujrat for once you will know and no Govt Job can match that level of prosperity. Trust me taking this decision is hard but if you are able to take it then you are going to remember this comment throught your life. Thank you

Bro Definitely you will work as a TA if you do m.tech from masters and if you want 12400 stipend. But in IIT Madras also available non htta program. In which you have no got stipend. So if you don't want any TA work. then you join. And remember If you want to do m.tech your 1st priority should be got better college and branch don't think about TA duties.
