RAID NL 2018 - paddling, rowing and sailing on Friesian lakes

3 canoes and one rowboat travelling on Friesian lakes for 5 days. We had all food and water on board, helped by the big red mothership of Hubert. We were camping underway, sometimes in the wild, mostly on campings. It is quite a practical mode to travel. You paddle when the winds are light, when the winds are good you make good distance and travel easy.

Great video! What is the size (ID/OD) of your carbon tubing for the mast, yard and boom?

Thanks Taz. The mast is tapered, can't tell the ID, OD, as, what I did: buy a used 550 cm imcs 35 windsurf mast. Cut off a meter off the bottom and saw it through lengthwise, then glued that back on the bottom. Windsurf masts are very bendy on the bottom, this has solved it. Weight is 1.8 kg, and it holds my full weight when using the hiking plank

Yard and boom, same, but this is a 520 meter imcs 32 mast. These are very available in the Netherlands, and come cheap.
