You should reenact Operation "Outside the Box" (sometimes mistakingly known as Operation "Orchard"). the 2007 Israeli airstrike against the newly built North-Korean/Syrian nuclear reactor in the dead of night by 4 F-16I's and 4 F-15I's equipped with 2 GBU-38's each, they flew in under heavy radar jamming technology that practically made the entire Syrian air defense forces completely blind

I read about that operation in one of my cyber warfare books. Supposedly, Israel exploited the supply chain for the processors used in the IADS and literally turned off the ones on the attack route, then turned them back on once the flight had cleared the airspace.

King Hussein was a military pilot and knew instantly the Israelis were up to something. He had reached a secret accomodation with Israel years before and had been walking a bit of a tightrope ever since, talking tough to try to keep wider Arab public opinion and his own people behind his rule while also doing his best to keep Jordan out of any conflicts with Israel. I wouldn't have liked to have been him when those planes blasted over his yacht, put it that way - it left him with a very tough decision to make.

It's an interesting bit of history, isn't it? You have to wonder at the truth. The official line is that Hussein reported the flights and that nothing was due to miscommunication or bureaucracy. The reality is that even if Hussein really did see the Israeli planes and put two-and-two-together -- a BIG IF -- he may well never have acted on the information for the very reason you say.
@ConstantineJoseph
@ConstantineJoseph Жыл бұрын
King Hussein understood the maxims of strategy and military tactics. He would not have done anything if he does not know the intent. I am sure he had mobilized his air force and air defenses to be on maximum alert as long as those IAF fighters do not encroach into his own airspace.

Oh cool, I finally catch a video right at the beginning. And then also with the F-16. Watching you is always a pure pleasure. I became aware of you through your video in which you played Ace Combat and H.A.W.X. compare with DCS. I played both games and I enjoyed it too. None of my friends understand why I am always upset that it takes two AIM-9X to get a MiG-21 from the sky. Just watching you people and hearing how you talk to each other is great. In terms of knowledge of airplanes, tactics and (military) history, I am at the forefront in my world. But here I am at the very bottom and watch you people with childlike enthusiasm as you drive up an F-16 and fly with it into Irak, which again nobody around me knows. That's really great. I love the world you guys have created for guys like me. Thanks for letting me be part of it. Because of you I can now annoy my friends with the knowledge of the inside of the cockpit of an F-16 and learning this stuff though you is simply amazing for me as a person, who thought he can't learn much more about military aviation or PC games. Thank you so much for the opportunity to enlarge my horizon. Even if I never have the money for a powerful PC. All the better that I can watch you fly, fight and speak. As always. :)

Great video! I love these kind of historical re-enactment videos. Just a quick note of something I picked up on, for complete historical accuracy; the saudi airforce only got the tornado ids in 1986. And the tornado adv in 1989. A few years after this raid. It's a minor oversight I know, but for complete historical accuracy I thought you might like to know. This is not meant in any way to be a negative response, just trying to help out 😊 Anyway, I love your videos. Your tutorials particularly in the F16 have helped me immeasurably trying to get to grips with the viper in dcs. Great work, keep them videos coming! All the best. 👍🏻

@@fuzzybloodpc9291 to give you an idea...to keep the same pixel density, you need a higher pixel count in width of your monitor. if you own a 1080p 16:9 monitor, you have 1920x1080 pixels. the 21:9 version of that pixel density would have a resolution of 2560x1080. that means more or less 30% more graphic power of your gpu is needed, to get the same frames per second. the 30% you can also calculate for 1440p. And the 21:9 1440p is what the most 21:9 people use. This is 3440x1440 pixels (UWQHD). Here you need a powerful GPU. The Density is a really good sweetspot between 1080p and 4k (or better UHD). And the good thing: it's needs only 60% of the power as a UHD resolution. sorry my english is poor. i hope i could help you a little bit.

I'm surprised that Steven Spielberg hasn't made a movie about this reactor strike! There were so many covert and top secret events which led up to the ruin of the reactor. Israel had sent out so many agents to derail efforts to build the reactor, they tried to bribe French politicians into refusing to sell nuclear technology to the Iraqis but corrupt French politicians were too enticed by Saddam's money and were complicit in the construction of the reactor which was probably meant to be a deterrent to nuclear-armed Israel. I'm not saying the Israelis are angels, they had to do whatever it took to defend themselves against surrounding antisemitic countries who'd rather have Israel wiped off the face of the Earth and the Israelis are devastatingly effective in what they do.

They do what needs to be done. There is only one jewish country on this planet and it's a tiny one. On the other hand, there are quite a few Arab countries. And many of them fought Israel (sending troops to help in a war against Israel, funding, arming and training terrorists). I'm happy to see changes in Middle East. Peace with UAE is one of these changes.

If Spielberg made a movie about it, it'd be about how sad and sorrowful the Israeli pilots were after the flight, how conflicted they were, and how terrible it must be to be a pilot. Nice work to all. This has a real flavor of what the mission must have looked and felt like. Back in 2010 I was in a squadron for the Combat Flight Simulator 3 Battle for Europe. It was a decent sim with decent graphics for the time. To be in our squadron we had a little course you had to fly. It ended with flying a P51 inverted under the Eiffel Tower. If you could do that, you were in. I need to get into the DCS world.

Looks like you guys had some trouble setting up for the initial. A way not to lose SA on where the runway is to have a steerpoint at the end of the ILS feathers for the landing runway. That will set you up for a 15ish mile initial. At that point your wingmen need to get in position and you on airspeed and altitude as lead. Your final steerpoint can be on the runway threshold itself.

Very cool mission 2-1. I like this low profile flights. So far the best two hours of my day. One question if you don't mind. What does fence out, fence in mean? At first I thought you would start the attack run, but it was way to early for that. But you activated AG mode if I where correct. Do you test it there? Thats two questions. And it was spectacular when you performed barrel rows to lower your altitude / flight path with this. I would simply lower the nose of the jet.
@Spudknocker
@Spudknocker 3 жыл бұрын
Hey man! I have answers! Fence in means essentially get your jet ready for combat, Master Arm on, weapons release programs good to go, expendables good, HMD turned on etc etc, Fence out is the opposite, safe up your jet to enter the terminal area for landing. I went in to A2G mode to set up my weapon release program then back to NAV mode to get to the target. As for the ridge crossing barrel rolls, what I am doing is descending by killing my vertical component of lift and letting the nose settle through having no lift. Plus I am keeping Positive G's on the jet as opposed to negative because negative G's can be VERY uncomfortable (Believe me I know from experience haha)

Fun to watch. I was working on F-16 A block 10 when this raid went off. The block 50 C models are so much more advanced. There was no GPS so they had to rely on the INU/INS for navigation. All that info had to be entered by hand. No DTCU then. The Israelis used perfect Arabic on their radio transmissions. From what I understand each of the MK 84’s followed the previously dropped munitions right into the hole in the reactor with only two outside of the dome. The A model was a real hotrod. Much lighter than the newer C models. The avionics were less complicated. Even the SCP was made up of digits that had wheat size light bulbs to make up each segment of the characters. I was on a team that accepted 58 of them in 1980-81. Brand spanking new right out of the factory.

Where did the turbulence come from? Did you or the person who created the mission use the global turbulence slider in the mission editor? Or is the turbulence really calculated just locally over the terrain you are flying above?
@marianandnorbert
@marianandnorbert 2 жыл бұрын
no it was wake turbulence because they were all flying in line with each other, directly within the wake turbulence corridor, the reason it was so severe was because of the 3 external tanks and the 2 2000 pound bombs, and it’s at a very low altitude where turbulence has a much greater impact, not to mention the fact that every aircraft leaves its own wake turbulence corridor which extends for miles behind them, so when all of them fly the same path the further back you are the more wake corridors stack up on each other making the wake turbulence even more severe

I could not find much detail on the mission it self, how they achieve to flew 900nmi without AAR! or may be they did but it is still classified! So, you need to plan for 900nmi fly, without using burner and speedbrake, and its important to TO without burner!

I know you strive for realism so I have a couple items to point out. First off, change the low altitude warning in the hud to something like 100ft so you dont constantly have that flashing warning in the hud. Second, clear the yellow PNEU flsg on the altimeter. Other than those two nitpick items, great job!.

If you want to do a real nuclear reactor strike that is within the map confines and with more or less the same range as operation opera, check out "Operation Outside the Box" - the strike on Syria's nuclear facility in 2007: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Outside_the_Box

Joystick if you are always reading the same sources then you will be always confident that you are right. A smart person is reading sources from the opposite side in order to reach his own opinion. This is something everyone should do for every « hot topics » such as Israel/Palestine, Climate change, electrical cars etc. Internet is your friend. By the way do you know that the Brits created Jordan from scratch in 1946 (2 years before Israel), on 75% of Palestine region, only for the Arabs and without any approval of the International Community?
