I'd forgotten about Louis Murphy. Didn't remember that dominant game against the Steelers or that awesome willingness to throw awesome blocks for his fellow pass catchers.

Considering how terrible his play was most of the time, it's easy to forget that every so often, he actually looked like an NFL QB.

It has been some lean years since those early JG and Gannon led teams. The Raiders make the NFL better when they are relevant. I hope the time comes soon for them to be a contender once more! RAAAAAAAIIIIIDDDDEERRSSSS!

Remember when everyone, questioned Al Davis for drafting fast wide receivers and now look. Every team is looking for a tyreek hill type player.
@isaiahayers15508 ай бұрын
Well, that's because Tyreek Hill is more than just fast. Yes he's the fastest man in the league, and also has outstanding leaping ability, very good hands, amazing high point ability, and elite instincts in the open field.
@LABrian208 ай бұрын
@@isaiahayers1550 I don’t disagree brother, I was just saying how they thought Al Davis was crazy for drafting fast wide outs I mean the closest player was Jacoby Ford. And the media said he was just a return man.
@isaiahayers15508 ай бұрын
@@LABrian20 I hate to be argumentative but the man played 2½ seasons and had 848 yards and 3 TDs. 2 more rushing TDs his rookie year but still. He was clearly a return specialist.
@LABrian208 ай бұрын
@@isaiahayers1550 no doubt, my dude but you got to remember he had 3 different quarterbacks and a garbage offensive line to work with. Never the less my guy what I really meant was how bad they talked about Al Davis and now look fast wider receivers like Tyreek Hill is what they look for.

He was an outstanding physical specimen. 6'2, 225 of pure muscle and ran about a 4.4 flat. A great #2/3 and had one phenomenal day against the Broncos. Never did hit 1,000 yards though - SOOOO close in '04.

Man.. Jerry Porter, never quite lived up to the hype of being "they guy" after Rice/Brown left. Wasn't completely his fault as he had so many QBs and a lot of bad ones amongst them but for the guy that was supposed to be the next big guy it never happened.
