Why is Jim Plunkett, winner of 2 Super Bowls, not even in consideration? Are they going to wait until he passes on like they did Snake Stabler? Give this man his due!

JP’s career stats rival Namath but surpasses Namath’s post-season stats by a lot! Namath got in mostly for being in NY media and getting women interested in football. So, induction was more cultural than on the field stats. He loses the Super Bowl after the guaranteed win, I doubt he’d be in on his first year of eligibility. So, with that being said, Flores got is as the first minority HC to win a title and validated it with another win. JP was his qb. Check off the stats and the culture aspect of his presence in the game-JP should get in. What I always say to the nay sayers: Can you tell the history of the NFL without JP? You can’t. His cultural impact, along with Flores, was bringing in the Latino fans from LA. Now games are played in Mexico, Brazil and Spain. Plunkett should go in while he’s alive. Oh yeah, let’s not forget that he helped invent embossed player cards for his mom and dad who were blind. Those cards are used in all types of collecting cards to this day.

I read about Plunkett when I was 8 years old...threw a 60 yard pass when he was 14...rookie of the year...then a Raider...I knew it was special...there is only one James Bond though (that would be "Snake" Stabler) following Snake made Plunkett better..he should be there though

Yes Eric Allen belongs in the Hall of Fame Steve Winooski Jim plunkett and also the judge besides Howie Long Steve Winooski was my favorite guy on the Raiders there was also Don Mozart number 72 as I say so what if the Hall of Fame gets filled up with our beloved Raiders that's where they rightfully belong❤

But still no Jim Plunkett Imma Niner fan and even I’m still flabbergasted that he hasn’t been inducted yet and yes I know before the Silver the Black he was on the Niners but still the Raiders resurrected him and won two SuperBowls that should definitely qualify enough for Canton plus he’s one of my Grandpas favorite Raider players he’s a Raiders fan
