We might be getting started with battery powered locomotives, but Windows batteries are dead it the trains going to have a lot of extra weight just sitting there. Diesel electric locomotives, on the other hand, don't really need to worry about running out of battery.

get rid of quiet zones and educate the majority, they have no say in the matter in which they have no education or understanding of or about. This goes for Ohio's 2 1/2 minute stopping rule, the governor and candidates are unaware on what damage can happen if the order goes through to stop train traffic can do to the states economy.

I had a hard time understanding your point but I think it's that there should be better barriers at grade crossing. In many places in Europe and an increasing number of crossings in the US, hydraulic barriers that come up out of the roadway have been installed. They are, however, extremely expensive, and four are required per crossing, so it's a slow process.
