@Olebogeng Malapane -There were General Elections on 8th Aug 2018, Uhuru Kenyatta was declared President by the elections body, before the same was nullified by the Supreme Court, which ordered a fresh election. The electoral body scheduled the same for Oct 26th, the opposition came up with irreducible minimums which they felt would guarantee free and fair election, the same werent considered and thus the opposition boycotted the election. The elections went ahead and Uhuru Kenyatta emerged victorious with 97 percent of the votes cast, an election which the opposition under Raila Odinga have vowed never to recognise, thus this swearing in, though Pres. Uhuru Kenyatta was also sworn in.
