This is unironically one of the best Prey covers I've ever heard! Magma Gru's laugh seriously gave me chills! The Despicable Me world, as memed and oversaturated it is with the Minions, is an interesting world to tackle in terms of lore. We know of the bad guys and and villains and the Roblox "Despicable Forces" gave us a glimpse of what could possibly happen if all villains that Gru encountered over the years united, but this puts the world in a much more "brutally real" perspective. What if Gru lost his wife? What if an incident like IHateYou.exe occurred to Gru as he couldn't save her and he was changed forever? And now he hunts down every villain to finish them off for causing them to lose the only light in his miserable little life.... Also, the use of the Purple Minion as a Furnace replacement is a nice touch! Those things can seriously cause damage!

But he’s taken it out on his minions first and tortures them if they don’t do his bidding. So now he’s out to get vector for some reason. Probably something to do with the whole moon thing. The first movies rules of the shrink ray do not apply in this universe (shrunken objects turn back to their original size after a while). Cut to the final fight scene, One way or another Gru is able to get the gorls back from Vector but does not get the moon and vector escapes. Then the events from above happen (Gru is unable to save Lucy, they both plummeted into the Volcano, Gru survives and becomes one with the lava). enraged by the fact that both his plans had gone wrong and that his love had died he lit the town on fire killing thousands. Vector notices the fire and goes to his, plane?, ship? I don't know. Before leaving he grabs his prized possession... the moon. As Vector flys away all he can see behind him is smoke and flames. Gru noticing Vector's flying thingy forces Dr. Nefario to make a more stronger version of the flying potion, the Dr quickly makes it, not wanting to die a very slow painful death. The new version of the potion allows the minions to have complete control of where they are flying but causes the skin on their face to quickly melt, the potion also wears off after a while. Gru not caring for his minions well being, gave a potion to one and sent him to go chase and stall Vector while he got ship thingy to work. And this is where this song takes place in this timeline.

Longest lore (how i see it) : So this all happened at the first movie, when gru attempted to stop vector from stealing the girls and the moon he failed and he got caught in the fire by the ship which left him a little scar, and the shrink ray was permenant so it did not destory vectors ship or base thing. after gru failing to save the girls he met lucy which was pretty good for gru but lucy did not find gru attractive due to the burn marks and permenant scars on him, after el macho got his identity found out he well strapped lucy to the rocket, gru attempted to save lucy by jumping on the rocket but when it launched the missel was heading to the volcano which was not good obviously, gru cut the wrong wire and the rocket blew up killing lucy and making gru fall off into the volcano, after years later, vector still had the moon and the girls. but he never left the base and was actually in space so gru whould never save the girls and vector decided to finish the job and kill gru, which he did not know gru already died, but... when vector returned he saw disaster. lava and magma was all over the ground, gru's house was on fire, and everything else was on fire or destroyed, he flew around to see if there has been any survivors, but when he was looking he saw somthing from a far and he knew it was not human, it started flying and vector attempted to flee, but when the monster caught up to vector he saw the minion shown in this video, he was terrified and attempted to attack the minion many times and he did not defeat it but its powers ran out, making the minion turn back to normal falling to his death, the minion fell into the magma and burned alive, vector thought he was save scince the minion was dead, then he saw a giant ship coming after him, he thought it was gru which it was, but it was not exactly gru. it was magma gru, magma gru was pissed at vector, and attempted to kill him many times during the chase, rockets, smashing into each other, and etc. after gru knew he could not beat him like that he slowed down acting like his ship ran out of gas or somthing, vector looked behind him to see gru slowley fall, he was so happy he won, but did not pay attention infront of him, a rocket was coming right at him. it destroyed his ship and flew him directly into the magma making him sink and die, the girls were still in space wondering what to do scince they were stuck in the glass container still but vector is dead so vector cant feed the girls and soon the girls died of starvation. gru knew he came from space scince he saw him. gru went to space to find the girls, he found the girls dead. he burst into a mental breakdown. and when he got back to his home, the house that was on fire. he decided to go on a rampage and kill the minions. but dru decided to check on gru scince he did not get the letter or email scince his butler or who ever it is, burned alive. when gru arrived he was terrified. he decided to go into the house with a suit that can handle intense heat. when he did he saw gru covered in magma and thats how the fight or flight video happened. after the argument finished gru decided to grab dru and trow him into the lava, dru did not die but he was permenantly stuck in the lava. dru attempted to escape but it took him forever. when he got back onto the platform that gru trew him off on, he was gone, when dru came back to his home it was on fire, he looked around every where, Everything was on fire or magma. Even the town, he even saw a giant robot which dru went over to check on, he looked inside the robot to find that Bratt covered in magma still alive and melting dru managed to save bratt, and he also saw gru melting one of the humans in the town, gru saw bratt and dru and chased dru, dru and bratt managed to escape gru. dru helped bratt out by removing some of the burn marks on him, gru actually did manage to find the moon and put it back in its spot. gru managed to finds bits of lucy or the women i forgot her name. but gru managed to make a robot lucy and made lucy search for dru and bratt. el macho actually found lucy searching for bratt and dru and el macho attempted to fight lucy which lead to both of there deaths by falling into lava, after gru found the corpse of el macho and lucy he attempted to find dru himself. and gru was not messing around. gru litterally walks on the magma and lava to find dru, while he was seraching gru felting somthing on his leg, it was an arm, Gru sinked into the lava and saw vector apart of the lava and vector and gru fought non stop in the lava after the battle it was a tie cause vector trew gru into the sky and vector sinked into the magma deeper. after gru got launched into space he hit the moon which cause the moon to get a permenant scar. gru attempted to escape the moon which worked out but now he is in the middel of no where and still searching fro dru and bratt, every step he took made a magma track and soon he found dru and bratt and fought them both, and bratt attempted to trow water on gru hoping it whould some how help, which left gru a scar but gru killed bratt and brutally left dru in badly damage. dru decided to flee and he lost his arm, during his flee he a horde of minions heading his way, so dru decided to dig to the ground hoping it whould help and he decided to head deep into the ground so the minions cant find him, after dru escaped gru decided to cause mayhem, and found more bits of Lucy, El Macho, Bratt, and even some bits of Vector. he decided to make those bits into robot versions of them and dru managed to find some survivors and they managed to go to the other side of the world and hope gru does not find them, and thats all i whould think about the lore whould be like lol

Yeah tbh as much as I love Prey, I don't think Vector would've let himself let his guard down like that in a situation like that. It's shown time and time again if Vector keeps a level head and doesn't let his plans and actions clouded by emotion and frustration, he's actually incredibly difficult to defeat. Vector's ship is especially built to be hard asf to hit. I think he would've dodged the missile last second. That's just my opinion tho Edit: Yeah thinking about it later, Vector only ever slips up when he gets too cocky and let's his emotions and pride get in the way. In a situation like this, where allot of people are definitely dead considering the city is burning below them. Vector would be on high alert.

(A little bit of cringe) I think Gru's magma story would be like this. When Gru stole a secret weapon from North Korea, Vector attacked Gru like in canon, but instead of Gru's ship flying further, it began to fall into the crater of the volcano. Before he fell, Gru sent a signal to Dr. Nefario. Unfortunately or fortunately, Gru survived, but he was lying on the lower half of his body and lost two minions, meanwhile Nefario came to save Gru, but it was too late, Nefario does not want to lose his comrade and tries to restore him, after which he has a crazy idea , he decided to make an invincible monster out of Gru, to make him a creature that even no iron wall can stop. When Gru woke up, he was furious and attacked Nefario and blamed him for losing his legs and that he would rather to stay in the volcano instead of becoming the volcano itself. Nefario told him that he didn't want to lose his friend, but those were his last words. Gru decided to do it all himself by recreating his ship back and decided to test his weapon on one of his minions to make them immortal.

Gru and vector found themselves face to face again when gru was alerted of a robbery in progress in an known island of course gru went there alone with only one minion little did he know vector was there robbing the place of a weapon capable of shaking the ground beneath them and plus there was a volcano nearby which they did not know of. As gru seemingly won against vector in a battle vector uses said weapon which triggered a shockwave in the ground and disrupted the volcano and caused a massive eruption seemingly vector made it out alive but gru unfortunately was marked as dead. A month passed by vector was on his way back to the island and a robotic minion appears before him and they rap it out (fnf style combat lmao) and the minion backs away and gru comes into play seemingly alive but corrupt by not only his body being different but his entire personality and physical change and basically he is a whole new gru, a much more devious one. After gru sings against vector the minion was infront of vectors ship and vector crashes into the minion and the minion was a-ok while vector crash lands into the island and dies a horrible death.

He survived but was driven mad by his horrendous new form and now roams the world seeking his revenge on his foes and friends alike infecting them with his horrible mutation transforming them into monsters just like him.Unfortunately for the Minions Gru tested his mutation on them first turning them into aggressive monsters whose sole purpose is to help Gru spread as much chaos and destruction as possible. Vector is a small part of a pocket of resistance trying to escape the infection.

This story (my hedcannon) Eduardo and vector teamed up to stop gru, they knew he would try to save his family, one day Gru notice there disappearance in a instant, he went to confront them, they where dangling from the inside of a volcano. Gru did his best to stop them, nothing worked, eventually since vector is kinda dumb the wood plank snapped, dropping them into the lava, which is where he also jumped into, gru and the rest of the family, burning, however this was a nuclear volcano, gru was the only one making it out. His family dead, he tormented the minions, made them better, smarter more capable of everything in any way. In a mission to take down Eduardo, gru wanted to kill vector on his greatest mission: to get the moon Edit: changed “try” misspell to “gru”

Lore: One day. Gru made a minion cloning machine after vector was Defeated but then, one day at the minion cloning lab in Gru's base, there was a accident and one of the cloning machines malfunctioned and exploded,killing and burning the minion inside. Gru went to check the cloning machine and decided to eat the remains. He found it very tasty and his sanity started going down. He invented a minion killer machine and he consumed minions everyday and the minions became his everyday diet. He became insane and mad. He killed and ate minions all the time. However one day he discovered a purple liquid and he decided to test it on some dead minions. They were Revived. Gru gave anti gravity potions to the revived minions. Now he became completely insane, he was eating minions all the time and using dead minions to take over the world mercilessly. However eating minions was very unhealthy especially if that's your entire diet. Gru's skin started falling off and thin layers stood but all of it became red, the pain from the skin was unbearable and caused him more madness. Once he took over the world he started harming it heavily and changed the atmosphere. And when vector returned it was all done. But soon vector crashed and died. Some of the normal minions survived and went to a hiding spot then went to a cat for help to stop Gru. Gru caught the minions and ate one of them before the cat arrived. Gru had descended to complete insanity and madness...

Lore: Kevin accidentally shot gru with the magma gun in an attempt to get el macho instead gru became magma gru and killed Kevin and the girls, eventually he was able to find vector and decided to use the low gravity potion on one of his minions, at the end of the fight gru disappears while vector being cocky doesn’t realize the rocket heading to his ship ultimately killing him in the explosion

So basically what happen (and i know this is just an joke but whatever) Magma Gru was burning down the city while he notice something in the air, he find out that vector by the power of edition is back looking for him for revenge, Magma Gru know he can,'t defeat him that easy, so he decide to create a distraction. Vector was in the air whils he then see the city burning, and he din't care at all, cuz his main objective was gru, until... "Do i smell...rotten bananas..?"
