HO Scale: Central Iowa Railroad Club... STATE FAIR SHOW 2019 (pt2)

Continuing on with the Central Iowa Railroad Club during their State Fair show, this was my second day at the fair. This was the busiest of the three days I was up there, but that was only an issue when I went looking for food... which is amazing up there.
This was also the day I really got to put my newly aquired BLI Big Boy to the test. Without the aid of a diesel, I grabbed the CIRC's ethonal train. Along with the two water tenders, two support cars, plus the three buffer cars, it pulled that whole train around the layout, including a steep 2% grade.
Unassisted though, the with the Big Boy dragging all that weight behind it, still blew all the new diesels out of the water; pulling an entire train up a 2% grade and barely even slowing down. So its got some power to it, a lot more than an Athearn Genesis model. I was impressed. 🤓
All right, Im gonna end this here, had a long and exhausting day of railfanning the KC area yesterday (today [Saturday evening] as I type this). But it was pretty productive and I have enough railfanning vids to last a long time.

A great layout, suggestion - run the trains much slower, this only "N" scale remember,

This is HO scale, and during the show, there are 4 trains on both mainlines. To keep the guests attention, club rules mandate trains move at a scale 50 mph, that way the lulls between the trains is shortened.
