I’ll probably get up there around 2. Usually L508 doesn’t go north before then.

Fascinating video. Is this the same route that goes through Stevens Point and up to Duluth and Winnipeg? I've never railfanned this part of Wisconsin but it looks like a lot of fun.

Thanks, and yes it is that same route.

The Waukesha sub starts in Waukesha Wi and goes to fon du lac Wisconsin. Then it’s the Neenah sub all the way to Stevens point. The Fox River sub starts in Neenah and goes to Green Bay. The helpers on Byron hill are usually the two ic OLS sd40-3’s or a pair of sd40-2w’s. The Neenah yard has 5 ic’s and 4 git’s and a few cn’s. They are used for work (usually locals and yard switching) between point, Green Bay, Neenah and fon du lac. We get a good amount of foreign power up here. Usually a few dozen trains day. If you’re lucky, you’ll occasionally see a CP or a ble eje DMIR or a bit more common, a bcrail. Most of them are still in original paint and have amazing K5H and K5L’s as well as P3 and P5’s. There’s a decent amount of C40-8M’s too. Hope to see you up here some time soon!
