Not sure what engine they use now but when the zoo's original engines were built they were powered by a Ford 4 cylinder tractor engine.

Yeah, just like the transportation said those crossings are really uncooperative The bells and lights are terrible on these things and the gates

I haven’t been there in a while but when did they take the wishbone crossing out

They have been gone for a few years now. I wish they would have kept them around.

Just a sort of off topic question but I was recently at the NMOT and there were wheels there from the zoo trains, would it be possible they work on the zoo trains for the zoo?
@CNW10152 жыл бұрын
I don’t know. I guess it could be possible as they both use the some kind of trains. Maybe the NMOT has some kind of equipment to maintain them that the zoo doesn’t.

I would assume so since the museum has the machinery for their Jupiter project

Does anyone know what kind of engine the trains use

That’s not steam. I can tell by the sound it makes. It makes a diesel noise. Wow so cheap edit: nah im kidding its not cheap

Huh?!?! Are you out of your mind?!?! Of course it's not steam engines 🙄 It's a 4 cylinder engine

Chance Rides DOES NOT make steam locomotives. The real CP Huntington, now on display in California, was not able to reliably pull trains due to being so light and having a small tank. The Chance CPH engines, if they were to be steam powered, would not be able to do the same either. As of 2018, Chance now makes electric engines, and production of the non-electrics are slowly being discontinued.

This is why the transportation museum is getting a new train Transportation museum, which he had one of these it worked terrible sounded terrible overheats all the time luckily they maintain their train crossings, unlike the zoo
