The Saint Louis Zoo Train (full complete ride around the zoo)

The Saint Louis Zoo is a great zoo, and it has a wonderful train ride that takes you around the whole zoo and gives you a great look at some parts you might not get to see otherwise. This is the full train ride from our trip in May of 2019.
A behind the scenes look at what a former worker at Disney World, Silver Dollar City, and Busch Gardens Florida experienced in his time working at the parks. From driving large safari trucks around live wild animals while cracking one silly joke after another, to spending 5 years as a #PhotoPass photographer at #WaltDisneyWorld and seeing and experiencing all sorts of things, to being a conductor and #trainrobber on the famous Frisco Silver Dollar Line at #SilverDollarCity. With 10 years of working in the parks, there's lots of stories to tell. Here is some of them...

stlouisrocker100 11 months ago My Brother and also my Grandparents and I, we were very VERY lucky that we got to ride on the Saint Louis Zoo Train thanks to the special bands that we wore that allowed us to ride the train for free, and the best part is that we got to ride it all day as it was very helpful and also a much better way to get to where you want to go in less time. Also the St. Louis Zoo Train was a major lifesaver for my Grandparents as they get always get very tired and footsore after walking long distances, also not to mention the St. Louis Zoo is much larger and wider than any zoo I have ever visited. Also the Train helped us get back to the Main Building/Main Entrance and Exit to the Zoo quickly as they were gonna sooner or later close up for the night.

We have propane CP Huntingtons at the Birmingham Zoo, 6 mph is our limit on speed. I'm the train mechanic, I love Chance Rides trains. Heavy work but I love it.

I can try. I generally like to sit near the back of the train so you can see the whole train. Seems that many of the trains if you're at the front you still don't get a real good view of the engine- either a wall, window framing, or someone's back. :-)

@@SirWillow Thanks Generally I like to sit behind the locomotive because at some angles you can see in front of the train ahead of the engine if you look very closely through the artificial front cab windows of the CP Huntington You could see the tracks ahead

@@SirWillow Where I'm from I have a miniature Railroad that is 13 miles long the Forest Park Miniature RR located in Fort Worth, TX the Railroad uses slightly older models of C P Huntington engines And here is an interesting fact the newer CP Huntington engines are not capable of running on this railroad because it has grades the newer engines use a slightly different engine that's prone to wheel slip The railroad was originally a 16" gauge railroad thr had a G-16 F3 diesel train and a S-16 Steam train And the original train of the Fort Worth zoo In 1975 the rear was converted to 2' gauge C P Huntington trains replace the smaller trains because the company that made G-16s and S-16s went out of business. so after the bankruptcy of the miniature train company the railroad switch to chance rides inc. There was a time when the Forest Park miniature railroad had a total of 6 or 7 C P Huntington locomotives But over the years that number has reduced to 4. 3 Of which are still operational today Here's one of my latest videos kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3ano6B3m9Wef9k

You have nine people that don't like the St Louis zoo. The only zoo in the United States that's free no admission. That is clean and well maintained. Is paid by taxpayers the city the county the state taxes. What does these people want do they want free meal welfare I don't know y'all tell me they want to live off the state and complain.

It's a real shame, in mid trip somewhere in one of the tunnels I notice you changed locomotives on the move. Starting out with blue and winding up with red. A diesel or gas powered steam locomotive. A pitiful example of a train. And no commentary... Thanks for the video, I may unsubscribe if this is the best you can do.

There's no commentary because the engineers are already providing it. No reason for me to talk over them. I'd rather that people saw and heard the train ride itself instead of me.

You didn't notice the edit at the station, suggesting he got off and back on again? Or that the guy in the red shirt in front of him became a woman with a little girl? So go watch one of his many other videos where he provides plenty of commentary. It's really simple: Don't like a video? Don't watch. But announcing you might unsubscribe is the equivalent of a retail customer having a tantrum and yelling "I'll never shop here again!". Nobody believes them, and if they follow through, nobody cares about one less customer.
