Newly ballasted line to right of NECR is owned by the State of Vermont. It purchased from South Yard in White River, Junction to Wells River, Vermont from Boston & Maine Corporation for $3.3 million. It was subsequently leased to Vermont Rail System for 30 years with an option for two renewals.

There used to be an underground subway from the station to where the U.S. Post Office is today. The entrance was that concrete pad with the ventilation dome on top of the pad. Subway was needed because of heavy train traffic. 🛤️
