Railgunner pillar skip without mobility/attack speed items

Maybe with feathers, but it seems the cryocharge is needed since you dont go on cooldown with it. Unless you have some gnarly attack speed, at that point it probably wouldnt matter

Why would you pick Supercharge if you're going to fight Mithrix though? Freeze is busted against him.

@@neetenshi yeah, if you hit all your shots mithrix is literally frozen for half the fight, and gets executed at 30%

@@nobodycares6761 Half is a significant overstatement. It does half the damage, but picking Cryocharge also cuts Mithrix’s health by 30%, effectively giving all of your attacks a +40% damage boost.

I recently did a ridiculously elaborate railgunner pillar skip with only a few hopoo feathers and nothing else, im proud of myself Edit: Didnt think about using cryocharge, made it way harder for myself by using tiny notches on the big tree pillar thing

I was wondering how you're detonating your concussion device mid air, I've tried doing this skip and whenever I throw one while airborne it just falls to the ground instead of detonating instantly.

By throwing out the second one, before the first one explodes, the first one will immediately detonate. U can see i wait for the second charge to do that jump in midair.

After some testing it IS possible to skip pillars with only M1 and mines, but it's insanely hard. I'll post a second vid showing my successful attempt.

You don’t shoot the mine, you throw 2 out so that the first one explodes in mid air. The shooting is there only to slow down falling.

Yes, you keep them from past runs. But there is also a way to cheat them in by changing their number in the game files.

I disagree. The stage looks more badass now and the skips are satisfying to pull off. It’s not perfect but i like it more than the previous moon stage.

@@blunex8726 old moon was just long pathway to teleport and it was pretty weak. But new one is just messy and unbalanced. You get no room to dodge, some pillars f you over with their gravity. Some survivors function much worse in close combat. If people try to find how to avoid it, it's not because "they just can", but rather cause they don't want to participate in annoying gimmick. Don't change whole moon. Just change how pillars behave. Maybe make each one RNG? Combat shrine, bigger mob density etc. Just remove the "stay there and wait while kamikazee drones explode on you" feature

I disagree that everyone is just trying to skip to avoid the pillars. I think alot of people want to discover skips to save time. I think my biggest problem with the pillars is how long it takes to charge 4 of them. If you don't have alot of movement speed and you're banking on just blowing mithrix out of the water with damage, then just trudging on between pillars is so tedious, only to have to charge them. And on the pillars, the only salvagable, fun one is blood, cause at least it gives you the feeling that your build is specifically able to overcome this challenge. Design is annoying, Mass is boring, and Soul can just fuck itself. Personally I love the idea of having different challenges, especially the combat one. If we take the damage build from last time, maybe the game could have a few challenges picked out that you can choose from. Maybe a combat shrine-esk one if you have alot of damage but struggle to do the skip or a survival-teleporter like challenge. Maybe a challenge where I need to outheal something doing constant damage to me(This one sounds bad but I need an example). Yea anyway, disregard all that bullshit I wrote cause in reality the only thing I want is to never have to charge a pillar of Soul again.

You can do it with just a moderate amount of attack speed without using the special at all. The more attack speed the railgunner has, the further they fly while shooting. The gun has a little kick that gets amplified with the mine and moon gravity.
