The average street cop has no authority on railroad property, the only police that do are the specific railroad police.To cross a track while gates are down, consult with the railroad crew, they have contact via radio with the engine and can order the train to stop, the street cop has no communication with the train. Having worked for a railroad this is a known fact.

Typically when someone reports someone being on rr property it's going to be a city cop not rr police unless around the yards theirs only so many rr cops to go around.

"A person is or vehicle is hit by a train every 3 hours"? I didn't think the world can have the many people without common sense. Because if you have common sense, you won't ever try to beat a train or go around lowered gates.
