Nice switching. Looks like the power today is AC4400's . NS runs a lot of long trains and even switching. It seems like they are "kicking" cars. That is the sound of the brakes releasing and applied. It is a cool sight watching the brakeman perform with the lead. I can imagine here. Thanks for posting.

Hi from a train fan . I've been fascinated with trains since I was a kid . My grandfather and I would watch for the caboose and every summer we would go to camp in Clinton county Pa. We would always stop in Renova to watch the trains come and go out of the yard. They had repair shops there to work on the locomotives. It was a great time and your videos keep those memories alive. Thanks from one rail fan to another.

I once worked in a building that backed up to some tracks just outside a rail yard, and now I know what I heard all day long that sounded like they were putting trains together by crashing the cars into one another. lol
@JawTooth Жыл бұрын
I love hearing those switching sounds. That would be cool working next to a railroad yard like that lol
@karichelle1982 Жыл бұрын
@@JawTooth We could hear them pretty much all day, and the main rail line that comes out of that yard is way more active now than it was then. (Track upgrades since then.) The track that was directly behind us comes out of the yard and goes off in a different direction, toward the former army ammunition plant site in Charlestown (IN). A lot of those tracks are used for storage now. Or, I guess, for moving things back and forth, in the case of the one behind our building. Sadly no windows on that side of it, though!
