Before the World Famous Jeff Taylor (TM) told me that I should call it a Huber 6, I called it the Santa-Grande 6 chime, because lengthwise it's a Santa Fe 6, and radially it's Rio Grande 5. More proof that it's all in the length in terms of pitch - it sounds just like an ATSF 6.

No it's not, Lime-ah is how you you pronounce it

@@1TruNub nope it’s a mispronunciation and if you were to say LiMeAH on the radio miscommunications can and will occur. Radios are not very reliable in connectivity and when you have to spell something phonetically pronunciation is key because in my world of radios it could mean life or death 🙂

Technically you are both correct. The city of Lima, Ohio (where the locomotives are made) is pronounced [LY-mə] while the phonetic alphabet Lima is pronounced [liːmə]. So technically the presenter was correct.

To get the actual whistle sounds you need to get the CPLW mod, in order for it to work you also have to get the better whistles mod. Both of which are on nexus mods. Instructions to install both are on KZbin and on the nexus mods website.

While I like most of the whistles in the mod, there is definitely a need for some polishing to happen. Some just aren't looped well and others have poor audio samples (like 765's nathan 6 and sierra 3's lima 5). But it shows promise for the future of mods here.

Every person who plays has to have it, the people who don’t have it will only hear the default 5 chime, if one of the mod whistles are equipped

"H" key low low pitch, "Shift+H" is High pitch. You can also hold "V" Key and move the mouse up and down, and click and drag the whistle in first person on the cab

Only clients who also installed the whistle mod will hear them, the other hear the DRGW Standard whistle

The only thing I hate about mods in games like these is there not set up like games like stormworks where the mod website is on the place where you download the game so when you click download it doesn't download directly to the game if games like railroader and railroads online and all those kind of games like that were to do something like that I would be more apt to use these mods instead of just keeping mods completely out of my game.

This is how modding has been done for years, Railroader isn’t set up for native mods yet.

@@TheBeeMan1994 I meant to say when you click it directly downloads to the game. Stormworks works like that and I do believe Brick rigs does too and it makes them so much more fun to play. Having to go to all these different websites and do a million steps to get a mod just isn't worth the time in my opinion

@@southernwolfgaming I understand what you meant, but unfortunatly railroader doesn't support native mods, meaning there is no folder that you can just put mods in and it works, instead it requires some sort of "manual labor" to do. I understand what you mean, but it wasn't all that long ago when modding a game, literally meant you had to modify the game, which is how railroader is designed. Adam, the dev, has said in time, that he will work on Railroader supporting the steam workshop, which will allow you to simply go on steam, go to the workshop, and click on any mod you want and it auto installs. From what I understand they don't want that yet in the early access build until they get the game polished more.
