I recall my Delhi to Mumbai frequent travel with Rajdhani (WR) 45 years ago. I used to travel in a chair car and the ticket price was RS 550. Often we don't have prior reservation, therefore we brought a platform ticket and board on the train. We used to pay 1100 to TTE and he refunded 550 if no checking was there. Although the tte change at Baroda the system was so perfect that the tte himself see off us outside Mumbai Central station. We were given vvip treatment with ice, soda, nonveg for enjoying our hard drinks near gangway.

just a little concern.....u r showing stations of MP much ahead of UP...then one...two...three...stations of UP (After MP). 22221 Mumbai CST to NZM AC 2Tier, I traveled in March 2024 along with my family....We all found it much better than Tejas Rajdhani(though no offences to Tejas)..... Tejas has less stations than 22221...... but still if i have to give marks its only a difference of 19/21........ 19 being Tejas and 21 being 22221

The acceleration of CR Raj is something else due to push pull technology. It almost feels like a Vande Bharat. Encountered this first time in my journey on 24th April. Foodwise, 22222/22221 is better in 1A than 12951/12952/12953/12954. However, 2A/3A I think Mumbai Rajdhani and August Kranti Radhani are better.

One big problem with the journey was the sudden jerk forward whenever the engine started. Totally destroyed sleep.

Yeah that is due to centre buffer couplers, earlier in ICF coaches there used to be buffers on the side with screw couplers. The buffers prevented jerks. Well they are not present in LHB coaches, hence the problem with sudden jerks prevails.

kabi engine ko bi saf kar lo ... in 2022, while going to kerala from delhi there was a goods deraliment after ratlam..... so the train was diverted via bhopal..... but the train will travel whole of Andhra 24 hrs full.......... so i immediately booked this rajdhani & travalled back to delhi from bhopal it was fun catching train at 02:00 am it reached delhi on time ..... on reaching delhi i took evening flight to kerala

Currently, CR Rajdhani Express is the best Rajdhani Express along with the Ahmedabad Swarna Jayanti Rajdhani Express which also gives the same quality of services. Once upon a time before COVID, all other Rajdhani Express used to give the same services like Howrah Rajdhani, Sealdah Rajdhani, Bilaspur Rajdhani, Bangalore Rajdhani and Chennai Rajdhani. But unfortunately, these Rajdhani Express have lost their charm in terms of food and services.
