good god that whistle...I know 765 has dawned many whistles but which is this one? It's my favorite one. It sounds so ghostly, so demanding. So....right for it.

She’s had the same Nathan 6 chime off of NKP 700 since FWRHS first restored her in the 70’s. Her original whistle was stolen during her time on display in Lawton Park, and it’s not been able to be tracked back down for reinstallation on the 765.

Bob thanks for the kind comment. Carson Hill was the hardest I've ever heard a steam locomotive work.

A force to be reckoned with, thousands of pounds of steel and steam ripping through the silence, when people thought of steam excursions it's no wonder why the 765 is one of the first to come to mind
@aaron-prime117 Жыл бұрын
765 and 1225 or actually two of the most iconic engines being Berkshire‘s and all that carry the same thoughts when you think about steam when it comes to mind but then again there’s also the other preserve steamers that operate on the main line

I rode my first excursion with her this year on October 14 which was known as the fall color run from Hillsdale to Angola and then all the way back. It was one of the best train rides I ever had and inspired me to book more trips with her next year when the next schedule comes

This is a favorite of mine as well. A rare time that I was able to get a secluded location all by myself with no clicking cameras, or people jabbering near my microphone!

@@RailwayProductions Funny thing. I was on the Wabash Cannonball excursion in 2015. That was my first ride on the NS mainline and behind a Berkshire. Also C&O 2716 is being restored in my state of Kentucky. Maybe you guys can do a video production on it once it returns to the rails.

Such an outstanding video! Very well put together. I know I am in the minority here but personally, I prefer the 765 without the mars light. I think it’s a cleaner look.

If I'm not mistaken and if I'm correct, I think this is the steam locomotive. That inspired the fictional steam locomotive of The Polar Express, from both the original classic Christmas holiday storybook and the timeless animated movie. Is this the steam locomotive that inspired the steam locomotive for the Polar Express, please let me know with your replies
