This is a bad idea and I will tell you why. IRCTC is washing its hands off accountability by closing base kitchens and giving full control to third party. They were responsible if cockroaches were found in your food but now that blame won’t be on them. Secondly, Maintaining pantry cars and base kitchens I would imagine costs a lot of money so I wouldn’t be surprised if this was an economic decision. Ultimately, the idea of providing localised food is good but IRCTC needs to step up and say they will have their inspectors thoroughly oversee every single cloud kitchens on a daily basis because this AI nonsense is a gimmick at best and I doubt IRCTC have the digital infrastructure monitor such a massive network of kitchens they are promising. If the quality of food goes down in Rajdhanis and premium trains, it will just give the public more reason to fly and avoid railways.

Every train should have PC apart from with originate after 10 PM and terminate before 7 AM next day except Rajdhani/Duronto/VB/Shatabdi/Tejas. It provides relief to passengers that not to purchase anything from outside vendors. Today there are many trains running on long routes which does not have a PC. With the upgradation of GB into LHB coaches, it should also be given a PC.

The most easy and feasible idea is, Provide food option while ticket booking just like in humsafar, and other premium trains. Kyun ki, regardless of what train it is, jab log long journey kar rahe hai, toh khana khayenge he .. Due to this, middle man ka maamla khatam hoga, paisa direct ircrc k paas jayega, Zyada trains me ordees badhenge, so business badhega, Sab ko ek he rate me khana bhi milega

Pantry na haatake railway may jaisa bahut alag alag department hota hai, jaisa ki - 1) rail safety dept., 2) rail mail and logistic service, 3) rail protection force, waisa hi ek rail food safety and quality control and supply service chaalu korna thik rahega, specially for long distance train, more than 500 km. Rail agar direct supervise korega to quality thik e rahega. Or jisko pantry ka khana acha nehi laagega unke lia bahar se food delivery lene ka option to hai.

Har long distance train mein kam se kam 1 restaurant coach lagana chahiye like Deccan Queen. Wahan par ek proper menu card hona chahiye with price. Both regional food and thali system should be there. Jinko khana hai woh jaye, aur jinhe nhi khana hai, woh online order karenge. Iss se train bhi saaf rehegi aur logo ko garam khana bhi milega.

❤❤Railways will do well if it can run 3 4,5,6,7,8,9, 10am trains till Patna /gaya ie 1000kms in 11hrs non stop in fact even 110 kms avg speed vande can n shd do this in 9hrs which after the hala boh, it cant that is the basic fact, it can't even run 100kmph or even 110kmph when the whole hala bol is abt 160shit... So railways will do first to run 11hr non stop till Patna n surat at least or Nagpur in hrs yes till varanasi it does in 8hrs n till bpl it does in 7 hrs but v need atleast 10 trains each in this route ie 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10am ie 8trains 2 can B kept for cleaning maintenance initially to accommodate the ...travel amenities or minimal increase in capacity n comfort of travel...
