In Boynton Beach you passed two great restaurants on the ICW. The Banana Boat and The Two George's. I always hit those up when I am in the Palm Beach area. When you passed Peanut Island you went past my boss's yacht. On the other side of Peanut Island is The Sailfish Marina and Restaurant. They have the best conch chowder!

At 14:23 that guy looked like he was as walking on the water…what was that? Love seeing Ollie loving boat life. Watching, exploring…
@SchoandJo2 жыл бұрын
Wasn't that crazy! We had to share it... I think it was basically because it was a low tide in Jupiter and the water was just level with the shoal so it looked like the two people were walking on water... nice job noticing haha

Thanks for watching Larry! Its amazing what a 10 hour ride feels like now that we are accustomed to trawler time. 10 hrs in a car would be miserable but its not so bad on the water! Cheers!

I also love seeing your meals…they always look so yummy! I will say it every time…Ollie is adorable and so well behaved! How often do you have to take her to land? Safe travels!

Aww thanks so much Suzanne! We take Ollie to shore at a minimum of 2 times a day, in the morning and in the evening and typically one or both of those includes a pretty long walk / hike. If we are at a dock then we take her out more... Its a good thing she loves to sleep all day 😁

Hi Guys, Great Video ‼️ It's so cool that you get to spend quality time with family on your Boat. I'm very glad there was no damage from running aground. Quick question, does towing your Dinghy hinder fuel economy much ? Have a Great Day and Stay Safe ‼️ 😊
@SchoandJo2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Steve! We haven't noticed any changes in fuel economy or speed since we started towing it everywhere! Probably depends on your boat though, Pivot is already a big heavy boat so the drag probably is not as impactful as it could be with other vessels 😁

So sorry to keep commenting, but all my old memories keep popping into my head. Outflow from coal electric plant in Jupiter good place for Manatees. Nuke Plant just past Jensen Causeway. I think warm water to ocean but in 80's they were in cove in Indian River near plant. Drag a lure behind you cruising. Trout red fish snook almost everything in that water. Early for pompano but never know.

Lived 2 years in Stuart (actually Jensen Beach) college at FIT. 1980-82. Yeah I'm old. Just keep looping between Ft Lauderdale and Ft Pierce. I'll watch the channel like and watch commercials. Ready to go back. Just past Singer Island on right Tiger Woods and Greg Norman's house among others. Blowing rocks on Jupiter worth seeing if you have time and rough weather. Worth Island the Rodeo Dr of Florida

Moving along in the rain, maybe that kept a few boat off the water for the day , those tacos looked yummy. if you operate fred after dark do you need nav lights. Thank you for taking the time to edit and post these videos.
@SchoandJo2 жыл бұрын
True that! I don't think we need nav lights on Fred, I think just an all around white light at the top. HOWEVER we could be wrong on that! We have an all around white but typically just use our headlamp - it would be nice to have a set on Fred at all times though! As always - thanks for watching James!

Whew! L-o-n-g day for sure...especially for Ollie. Other YT videos are pointing to a Looper rendezvous in Charleston soon. If on your sked and okay to share, you might explain what's involved in that event. Or...at 7 kts, it may be beyond reach.

My go to dinner is bottom ramen ( ramen with the seasoning packet). But if I'm trying to impress the ladies, then it's top ramen (ramen with the seasoning packet, and a couple slices of lunch meat and a scallion).

@SchoandJo2 жыл бұрын
Not 100% sure but the main gauges are not accurate... We go off of the secondary which read 1650! Their wasn't a rebuild and the previous owners mainly kept her at a marina so we think this is the correct number! Cheers and thanks for watching!

Curious your audio and video were out of sync or was that at my end. The ads seemed normal though I really look forward to your videos.

Hmm I’m not sure…. Sometimes KZbin runs ads fine but the AV of the actual video gets out of sync. Normally refreshing and giving it a minute to buffer does the trick! If you notice it again let us know - thanks for watching Alfred!

@barelyafloatwithsteve39752 жыл бұрын
Hi Guys, I always appreciate the History and information that you put into your videos. I don't know if you can or want to answer this type of question, but the tech sites never answer me. You've mentioned editing your videos from time to time. I have a 30 year old daughter that has learning disabilities, but is pretty good with computers and enjoys KZbin. I'm on a fixed income but would like buy her a computer and camera so she can make videos and learn to do some basic editing. Would it be possible for you to list some minimum specifications I should look for so I don't waste my money, and my Daughter has something that will last her awhile. I realize this isn't what you do and that you're very busy. So if I don't hear back from you about this, I fully understand. Have a Great Day and Stay Safe ‼️ 😊
@SchoandJo2 жыл бұрын
Hey there! So the editing software that we use to make our videos is called Adobe Premier Pro. It is very resource intensive and probably wouldn't be suitable unless it was very serious. Adobe does make an app called Premier Pro Rush - you can possibly check out that or similar apps for creating videos from an iPad or smart phone. In fact, I know of several great KZbin channels all run entirely off a smart phone! Besides that, for cost effective machines, I've heard great things about Google Chromebooks but I don't know the price or what video editing software is available. Sorry we cant be of more help!

Hi, your videos are getting much better but why are you constantly oversteering? Most boats will hold a straight course and any minor variations will self correct. Keep up the good work, very enjoyable.
@SchoandJo2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for watching John! Honestly, Pivot is our first boat so we don't have anything to compare the steering to. With little to no current and wind (rare conditions), Pivot will hold course but the vast majority of the time we need to steer to keep Pivot in line. Could be because of our hull design, weight, windage, not sure! Cheers!

Ditch the loop. Slow down. The Mississippi is a toilet, nothing like what you are experiencing on east coast.
@SchoandJo2 жыл бұрын
Hi Angus! I think most Loopers are only on the Mississippi for a few days before taking the offshoots... we have heard bad things but we are excited to experience it. We can always slow down after experiencing the entire Loop. Cheers!
