The top of the silver tool actually goes underneath the two adjustment rings. Doing so prevents accidental damage to the two adjustment rings. Great video to follow. I love the tip you give about shooting a jet of water into the canister - I've banged up may hand clearing out the dirt and rocks, and your solution is excellent. I have quite a few of the mini-paws and maxi paws, and periodically need to change just the inside mechanism.

Great explanation but we couldn't see the latches cause it was too dark . Maybe you should put a light on the part to make it brighter

Just as easy to replace with the plastic top left on, no need to remove.
@davidn36814 жыл бұрын
It actually easier that way. I always wash out the debris with a hose before inserting the wrench.

Put the top holder in at the part right below the adjusting clamps

do you think it's possible to replace this rotor with something else? continue to use this housing, but replace it with another type of rotor?

Can you take rotor out without using the wrench?

Reuse the old cap so,it matches

If you use the side 1/2" input it is much easier to replace the whole assembly. Spin the old one off and spin the new one on and set you adjustments.

@Isabela fernandez The 2 side cover clips (around 3:23 & 17:13 marks) around center of the motor is broken. The cap/cover doesn't stay on. Do you happen to know of a fix for this? Thank you.

I would! I've swapped out several of these innards, and I can agree that getting the cap off is by far the hardest step!

Haha me either. Glad I could give you a good laugh, at least you got something out of the video. Cheers.

You covered a lot of good stuff. Your voice trails off making it hard to understand what you're saying. You need to be very clear on each step. Speak clearly and forward not to yourself. Get rid of that music made me start daydreaming about the good ol 80s disco scene. Again you covered s a lot of good stuff! Be clear!

Do not do what he says never use these heads they collect a lot of dirt and debris this is an old style head used in like the 1920s lol they still make these heads I don’t know why but they do never use these rain bird impacts they break all the time like I said they collect a lot of dirt and debris buy the rainbirds 5000 they are the best heads to be used now a days sorry if I let any one down but you spend more time trying to repair an old head then digging it up real quick nicely and carefully you do not want to break the pipe that connects to or just call a professional there are company’s that do this not plumbers but an irrigation company can help you
