Any chance you can use 1/4 flex pipe rather than blank drip tubing?😂 I know the piercing would be difficult, but I'm wondering if it's possible and functional.

Great question. Let's clarify 1/4 flex pipe - this is the small "spaghetti" tubing that is designed to work with this item. If you mean larger drip tubing (typically 1/2"), yes, this could also work. The inlet on the side is not self-piercing, so you will need a punch tool, but in theory, the stake could attached to blank drip tubing. Or, you could purchase the bubblers separately, without the stakes, and punch them onto any tubing of your choice. www.rainbird.com/products/rain-bird-xeri-bubblers

@@Andy_Humphrey Is there a difference between the Rain Bird Xeri-Bubbler and the Micro Bubbler, or are they the same thing?
@Andy_Humphrey Жыл бұрын
@@garya2223 I think there are the same. Someone may correct me, but I believe the "micro bubbler" is the retail package/version of the xeri bubbler.

@@Andy_Humphrey Which would work better for a fully-covered flower bed, the stream type or the umbrella type?
@Andy_Humphrey Жыл бұрын
@@garya2223 I’d use drip, if that’s an option, to prevent flower damage. Otherwise probably the Stream Type, for the same reason. Curious to see if others here have a different opinion.

I planted lavender, which doesn't like tons of water and was getting root rot from the spray head right next to it. So, I am converting that head into bubblers for the lavender and three bushes. However, this zone covers my garden and lawn in front of my house. I think there are about 10 sprinkler heads in this zone. Will there be an issue with converting one head to a bubbler? (incidentally there is a bubbler already across the walkway to the front entrance on this zone.)

Hi Tanya. You can absolutely do this, however, keep in mind that the turfgrass will require more water so you will want to choose small volume bubblers (low gph) so that you do not overwater the lavender. Does that help?
