I made the garlic bread here at the house for dinner with spaghetti this evening. I watched the video a few days ago for the first time. You are right, Its amazing, and the best ive ever had. Better than anything from the store. I used hamburger buns because its what we had. Both the tops (thicker) and the bottoms (thinner) are amazing. One thing i did was add a couple pinches of shredded mozzarella cheese to the tops before they went in the oven. On a cooking sheet, I baked them at 350 for 5 minutes, then switched over to a high broil for 2.5 minutes. keep an eye on them while broiling. It happens fast. The wife, both boys, and even my grandmother mowed down. Definitely a hit for our family from now on. Thanks Bro!

It cracked me up when after putting your wet tent in the garbage bag you said if you didn't like the tent you could just throw it away, it reminded me of your video of the failed inflatable tent. As a child my Saturday mornings often consisted of cartoons and cereal. Now quite a few full moons later I'm in my 40's and enjoy my Saturday mornings watching you camp at all these unique beautiful places. This tent combined with the wood stove sure look like the perfect combo. I have never tried winter camping, but you're convincing me that it would be worth it. You could buy a small baking sheet (Curtis Stone has them), and just flip it over onto it, leaving the casserole in its own dish. When you’re ready to eat, flip it back over. That’s what I would do. 😊

It's true. If you have something, use it! My late mom always said that enjoy it if you have it. You can't take it with you when your D Day comes. Share it with family and friends. She shared everything and bought chocs when she felt like them. I inherited that trait and feel yahoo happy to enjoy what I have with friends, family and needy strangers. You're a good and kind man and the Lord we share is awesome! Enjoy the camping. Wish I could read replies to my U Tube messages but somehow my son has blocked them and I'm not clever enuf to get them back. (Not criminal enough hey?) Sometimes old age sucks. 😊

Kenny, you ought to get a medal just for your ability of picking great spots to camp. That meal really warmed this Italians heart. So much so I just made it. But, I used the peeled already garlic instead of the sqeeze bottle on the garliic bread. It was delish. The tent and the stove is outstanding. I so enjoy your videos. Gumby!!! I mean, Kenny!!! Where's Pokey? Okay, I'm sorry. But when you stepped out of your truck that's the first thought that hit me! Now your turn! Okay, seriously, your heartfelt evening grace is inspiring. Your supper had my mouth watering the second you pulled the garlic bread from your new oven. Seeing it bubble was the tops! Your new stove is great; I really like the side-opening feature which makes stoking the fire much easier than loading from the long end. Good luck with the stove and your new tent. Look like both the stove and tent were great purchases. Shelby certainly treats you right, young man; that casserole looked scrumptious!! May the good Lord hold you and keep you. Oh, and thank you for showing us that the most beautiful examples of the color gold are not necessarily found in a metal. A little tip for those who like a crunchier bread -- pre-toast the bread a little bit before putting on the topping. Looks great though! :)

For breakfast, try buckwheat pancakes! I use 1 & 1/2 cups pancake mix, 1/2 cup buckwheat flour, 1 egg, 1 cup+ milk, add nuts, cinnamon, brown sugar, etc. to mix. serve with sausages [I like HOT Italian sausage]. Butter & syrup to taste. Could also use favorite jam.

Your spaghetti looked amazing and so did the casserole your wife made for you. If you want to cook it in the oven you could try covering it with aluminum foil and jut take it off last couple of minutes of cooking for the cheese to melt more. Also as usual your painting was awesome. Thanks for a great camp.

Lily is going to love that oven for biscuits! That bread would be great with hot chocolate! Okay, fresh grated parmesan for the bread and processed powder parmesan on 'sketti? Yes, apple blossom! Yum... I like that tent. With the rain, how is the ground outside where there is no tent floor, under the vestibule? That rock is beautifully painted! I was sitting here thinking the tent would be a great painting with the backdrop. I love that one, nice.

Whoa super different sort of tent Kenny. It will be fun to see how you will like it. I'm not a fan of the no floor in the winter but at least the little insert has a floor. Pomoly certainly has a corner on the market for stoves don't they? This one is awesome. Oh my goodness the tent is Pomoly as well. Wow! Loved the Jesus Loves you watermark thingy. Even though it was rainy, it was still lovely scenery. Good for you on the painting. I always enjoy them. Also wanted to say Thank you Sir for your service to this great country of ours. Looks so cozy! Great food and scenery 😀 little tip someone showed me, take some of the ash from the fire when it's cool, add some water to make a paste and you can clean the inside of the glass on your stove, works great! God bless you and your family 😊

Hi Kenny, what a nice tent and stove. I was thinking about the breakfast casserole...could you cover it so it heats through better without burning the top. It looked great in any case. Shelby's the best , cooking for you ahead of your trip. ❤ Setting was beautiful, as always. We got out yesterday to a beautiful waterfall. Rich used his rocket stove to make lunch. Try putting a thick soapstone or steel plate in the bottom of your oven. It will absorb the heat and then release it up into your food, cooking from the bottom as well! You could contact people who install soapstone countertops and ask them for a “sink cutout” (the chunk they cut out of the countertop for the sink to mount in). Give them the dimensions you need for your oven and they’ll cut it for you. Should be only about $20 and upcycles what would otherwise be wasted soapstone! You could take a similar approach with steel. The steel is more durable, which is important with a portable situation like this where you’ll be moving it around a lot, then you don’t risk dropping and breaking the stone plate. I would probably go with steel. If you do, share it in a future vid! 🙂
