Winter Camping in Insulated Roof Top Tent with Snow

Camping in snow and staying warm in my Crua Aer insulated roof top tent! I enjoyed a night in the Blue Mountains of Washington State after driving over 3 hours to get to my destination, to my surprise I had snow to enjoy! It was a chilly night with temps reaching as low as -7C (19F) with the wind chill it was much colder. I stayed warm in my insulated tent.

Great location. Such majestic views. Loved the insulated rooftop tent. Kenny, ever try those battery powered air pumps the size of a pack of cigarettes? They work great for blowing up mattresses and such 51:46 . Also enjoyed the quiet. No noise is good at times. Wraps looked good. So did the steak and peppers even though you couldn't eat it. A nice time all around. Take care.

Wiley's back, woohoo. Beautiful place for sure. Hume Lake is near Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks (California). It's a Christian campground for youth & lots of churches go there in the Summer. It is really pretty & you will surely love it too.

Kenny just a little FYI to make your outing better. Start prepping your vegetables. Chop all your vegetables up and put them in either containers or Ziploc bags. Even if you were doing something like a stir fry with chicken you can cut that up before you go or your steak before you go and then you can cook it. Because when you're outside in the cold the last day you want to do is to get colder trying to chop up all your stuff before you cook. Next time try a little butter and Olive oil with your veggies. Butter with your eggs instead of oil. 🤷🏽‍♀️❤️🙏🏾

First, nice vid. That said, I guess it's just me, but when I cold camp I always have a heat supply with me. Woodstove... so I can enjoy those long evenings not huddled up. Anyways, keep them coming.

Kenny, I don't know what video gear you're using, but I swear that as you were grilling your steak I could smell it!!! Soooooooo good too!!! It was a shame you had to trash it, but you probably made the right choice. As for the chili and its aftereffects - better out than in - you don't want to explode, after all! Frame a still from that shot of you and your campground with the moon overlooking (26:00 mark) - a keepsake (you can always Photoshop out the ghost in the pine tree). Great camping location and of course a new gadget. Sorry to hear about the sooty dinner. Live and learn. Brr on that cold tent without insulation or a heat source. Definitely need a wind blocker for the propane heater so the heat can reflect back to you. Nice timelapses. Thanks for showing how your batteries don't freeze. Fun to see Wiley again.
