Taeil's vocals and his control is truly admirable, his pronunciation is so good too. He delivers the feeling of the song so well. This shows how much he has matured as an artist. Also, the fact that SM allowed Kun to produce his own song in the NCT lab shows how much SM trusts Kun's talent. The song is honestly really good. The addition of Yangyang's rap into this added so much flair to the song. Their combination is so perfect that they complement each other's strengths.

Taeil, Kun, and Yangyang have always been the underrrated (and under-appreciated) members of the group, and I've wished they would get a good opportunity to show their skills. I'm so glad they finally got the chance to sing longer melodies and rap in Rain Day!!! We are seeing so many "athlete-type" idols these days due to the demand for intense choreography, but we always need these natural musician/artist types to make good music!

The members have given him love since the rookie days, SM pursued him like the vocal god he is, he was is only artist under 50 yrs old chosen by the Korean government to honor the Father of Korean music and he was accepted to a prestigious university for his talent.

I just went with "underrated" cuz I feel like fans do appreciate and enjoy Taeil's voice in NCT's songs but aren't aware of how much musical contribution he makes.🤔But yes, the company and musicians definitely know his skills. @@soph296 actually it was decided by the company, not Kun. although yangyang was initially already in the demo / early versions before this song was chosen for NCT LAB. Taeil's (and yangyang's) participation was decided by the company. this was mentioned during kun&yangyang's yizhibo live on the day rain day was released :)

Taeil's lower register is so nice, I was thinking, "I wanna hear more of this, such a sturdy and ~handsome tone" and then he hit those falsetto notes so perfectly and I was like, "Okay this is good too!" I like any tone or register he uses, but I especially love how his vibrato sounds on the lower notes, it's ~sexaayyy. He eats it all lmao YangYang is really good at both rapping and singing; a lot of rappers don't have the most polished singing voices but his is so nice~ Kun is so talented to write songs like this! He understands all the nuances, how each component affects the others, and wants every detail to be perfect. He should write more songs for NCT! And of course his voice is amazing too, and he looks handsome in the recording studio lol

Ok can I just say that I absolutely adore the relationship they have with their producers. Like they aren't afraid to disagree, comment, or encourage, which I think is absolutely nice. Like they both regard each other as artists. Taeil once again proved that he's a beast in the studio! And I can't get over how cute his hand gestures are when he's recording, you can clearly see that he gives his all, and works extremely hard to achieve what he wants! He told that he wants to achieve a certain level in singing and I strongly believe that he'll get their soon~ Also I loved seeing him be satisfied with his own vocal work. I'm happy he got more parts in this song, all thanks to Kun! 😊 Yangyang's voice is so damn low, like I don't think I've ever heard him that low before!
