Sorry she is absolutely wrong if new york is heading toward a climate like”little rock Arkansas as scientists have said its not getting dryer its getting wetter..new york isnt turning into a desert!This is the first drought we had in 20 years for Christmas sake it its gonna happen from time to time regardless..

You are correct that global warming in general will make the eastern US, NYC included, wetter and warmer on average, but one other aspect of a warming climate is the weakening between the temperature difference between the poles and the mid-latitudes as due to arctic ampflication the arctic is warming faster than anywhere on earth. This slows and weakens the jet stream and causes blocking systems in the atmosphere. It’s possible this is natural, but no doubt it’s unusual the pressure pattern the past two months has remained unchanged until now.
