@Evening Rain genderfluid/agender is a gender identity, adrogyny is an aesthetic that anyone can have but is often associated with genderfluid/agender people
@SeptemberChild4 жыл бұрын
@Pissant you've got it a little mixed up. Androgyny is just a look (like feminine or masculine), agender means identifying with no gender, genderfluid means experiencing multiple genders in different periods (if I oversimplify it, for example, one week you're a man, then for a month you're a woman etc) and nonbinary is another gender (next to the most known binary man/woman). Pansexual (attracted to people of all genders) refers to attraction, not gender identity, and demisexual means you only feel sexual attraction under certain circumstances (usually when in love or after creating a strong emotional bond with someone). It might get a little confusing sometimes, it's dozens of different terms/labels

@keithklassen53205 жыл бұрын
I mean, yeah, but also that's like a thing that a lotta white North Americans do. It sucks for people of Asian ancestry, and we should always do our best to damn well not do that, but also it really isn't about them, entirely. Like I don't mean that their feelings don't matter on the topic, I mean that it's just about one population that has certain facial features that stand out and are different from what most white North Americans are used to seeing consistently. There's actual racism, and then there's having trouble picking out facial features that are unfamiliar. Probably feels the same on the receiving end, but it's hard to see actual fault or culpability there at the same time. Maybe I'm just being an asshole. I certainly know some Asian friends who would hate to hear me say that. I dunno.

Papera Di Gomma I wonder if she is a good or bad listener. people like her usually have a large following in any room, because they can be the life of a party/of a convo. but that doesnt always make for loyal friendships...you have to have balance. those who are always the center of attention, dont usually know how to give the same care that they receive to others. she might be balanced, and have great relationships...its not something you can tell from one video where she is the subject.....but i did connect the dots that if she is a poor listener, maybe thats what gave her the mantra you quoted...about being perceived as a friend by others..because im sure being the exciting acquaintance to many tends to be easier, and get more invites in the industry world...rather than being a reliable friend to few. none of this is fact. just putting my thoughts down to see what anyone might think.

I guess what makes her different from most androgynous models is that she didn't wake up one day and say "well you know, I don't really fit in with the gender binary. I'm going to cut my hair (or grow it out) and dress in a manner that makes my gender ambiguous so that my outsides match my personality which isn't constrained to a gender." No she was born into the reality that she genetically looks like both genders. She looks like a beautiful woman and a dashing man at the same time. I'm certain there are more people out there like her, people who didn't choose to be androgynous but are androgynous, people who didn't choose to be apart of this ongoing war for acceptance...but were born into it. Just imagine...she could have gotten depressed over it, if she identified as a female woman and desperately wanted nothing "manly" about herself, she can't simply change her style and make it disappear. Fortunately she embraced herself and viewed her situation as a blessing, and sets out to prove it.
@crazy808ish8 жыл бұрын
Huh? Where exactly does she look like a beautiful woman??? She barely looks feminine at all.

Please stop assuming anyone is trying to match their outside to their personality. Stop assuming that "androgynous" presenting people are doing this because of their personality. Stop assuming that "androgynous" presenting people are assuming anything about personality from anyone's clothes. You have the wrong idea about someone like me. It's more like just something that is more comfortable not only physically but also mentally and I know everyone has different preferences. I don't think it means anything about a person, or judge those who choose to dress in a way society considers feminine, so stop judging me. My personal choices also have nothing to do with expressing my personality. I just know what I want.

I LOVE LOVE HER PERCEPTION! Like the fact that she sees both sides of the industry as it is, and simply capitalizes on it, at the same time she's an activist too. Even if she quits modelling, I'd still to follow her, because she has such cool personality, and she's smart.
@femmebrulee50533 жыл бұрын
It's actually a sociological/psychological occurrence that is common when people interact with others of different races/ethnicities. She was probably embarassed that she mixed up the Davids and was trying to cover by saying they look similar. I feel the same type of embarassment when someone remembers me but I have no idea who they are. More than likely the truth is that none of these folks are really friends. It's just someone they met or worked with at a fashion show 3 years ago. If they were truly real friends she would know his name. But the entertainment industry is kinda like that where you try to be friendly and network with anyone you meet because it could lead to you landing a gig.

I'm so happy this popped up in my suggested list!! My sisters always say I look like a lesbian or a little boy even though they know I'm straight and engaged to a man, but they just don't understand! I'm always being bullied by them for every small thing, but my fiance has always made me feel special. With his help, I'm starting to love myself and understand that it's okay to be me. Sometimes I want to dress feminine, and sometimes I want to dress masculine. Sometimes I do a mix of both. It doesn't matter what I look like, and my sexuality is none of their business. What matters is that I'm loved, and I like that I'm weird.
@teelesynclair59023 жыл бұрын
You do you, dress however makes you happy. Don't listen to cruel people, if they are trying to drag you down its normally because of jealousy. Tell them not be stupid, you can't look like a lesbian, there's too much diversity in the lesbian community for there to be a 'look', I've seen butch girls, feminine ones, skinny, curvy, tall, small, black and white ones. Just remember that you are beautiful, they are being ugly with their bullying 💖

"I loved the way she speaks" What does your voice contribute to your success as a model?
@animefan3208 жыл бұрын
I don't think its the sound of Rain's voice that she was pointing to. She was pointing to the way Rain talks, the mannerisms she has when speaking and the words she uses. Rain is easy to relate to because she knows how to talk to others and make them feel like they could be friends with her. I think that quality of charm could be useful in the modelling industry where connections - who you know - is vital to success.

Better than being 360 pounds of lard like all the "plus sized"
@nahla__5 жыл бұрын
@@burymedeep-be7dm wow, there is no need to express an opinion with rude words and being offensive. I mean...you should've said it in a better way. Obesity is clearly not ok for many reasons -and promoting obese models as plus size/curvy is not correct...cause they are lot more than a plus size - and so it is being extremely thin or underweight. Different side of the coin but still a problem.
@burymedeep-be7dm5 жыл бұрын
@@nahla__ Obesity is everywhere. Its actually rare to see someone underweight or anorexic. I can't even recall the last time I saw someone in real life that looked unhealthy from being too skinny. Yet the argument I hear from so many morbidly obese people is "atleast I don't have an eating disorder!" Please! I don't care if someone wants plump up up to 400 pounds but stop saying its healthy or "beautiful" cause its neither!
@nahla__5 жыл бұрын
@@burymedeep-be7dm they are both important issues...if you don't see extremely skinny people around this doesn't mean there are no eating disorders... actually a lot of people suffering from eating disorders are normo - weight or bit too thin...so it's important as overeating and obesity are. I understand your point and I quite agree with you...the only thing I didn't agree was the rude offensive tone you used. Then we can all agree and open a conversation about this "trend" of calling obese people plus size or curvy (and they are not...obese people are obese, that's it) curvy/plus size people are usually very tall girls who are a 46/48 (European/Italian sizes) or not so tall girls with these sizes...but these curvy women/girls are usually 5/10 kg more...not obese. There is a huge difference, so it's right what you said. But you know, society and brands want to sell lies and frictional standards or ideas that being unhealthy (in every way..not only obese, but also skinny, smoking, drinking and so on and on) is ok because it's politically correct to embrace everything. Wait.... It's bullsh*t. We agree.
