Yep. It’s come in handy. I am using it while camping to allow more air in at night. I have a mesh that keeps out the bugs and the rain guard does its thing should it rain. Cheers. 🍻

Oh ,in channels. I thought the title meant something new. Yea they're the only ones I use, EGR matte black for Wrangler (the matte goes so good with the wrangler matte fenders.) , had them for years with over a hundred car washes and they still look new....crazy good.

I have a 2021 JLU and prefer the in-channel visor. They fit close to the body and don't stick out like the visors that mount to the body. I get my visors when I got the Jeep 3 years ago. I put the window visors on all my vehicles. Plus the visors that mount to the body are easy to steal, all you need is fishing line to cut though the two sided tape. Happened to my wife.

Hey Dino, I have the AVS version of these window shades on my JLU. They didn't come with those little metal parts to add extra pressure. I wish they did! My rear windows contact the bottom of the shade when I roll the window back up. I finally gave up and took the rears off. Not sure if it is because of the shades but I started getting corrosion issues on the bottom of the doors that routinely face the weather where I park. I am on the West Coast so we get lots of rain in the winter. I am thinking that because the window is pressed inward slightly it allows more water to get in around the weatherstripping. They work really well with your 'gutter guard' window vent hack from a few years ago
@CheaperJeeperTV6 ай бұрын
I wish I covered the window vent mesh in the tip segment of the video. Thanks for mentioning that. As for the corrosion, lots of people have had the corrosion under their door panels without using the rain guards so I don’t think that it is likely caused by them. thanks for sharing. Cheers.

Never had rain guards and I am curious how rain guards effect the handling of removed doors along with the impact of door hangers when the Jeep is naked for the summer.
@CheaperJeeperTV6 ай бұрын
You make a good point that I did not address in the video. Thanks for highlighting that. It definitely will impact its ability to be hung in some door hangers that hook around that top edge. Cheers

Did you test the rain guards with the window opened slightly. I had a set of WeatherTechs on my Ford Ranger that wouldn't stay up in the window channel until I re-read the instructions and saw how to position the bottom edge of the rain guard on the front windows. It also had a problem, since I had automatic sensors. When I rolled the window up too quickly, the window would re-open. I had to slowly close the window to keep the sensor from re-opening the window.
@CheaperJeeperTV6 ай бұрын
I didn’t test that. Also, the JL doesn’t have an auto up/close feature so…no sensor issue. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.

Hey Dino, how is the wind noise while driving with your windows down an inch or so? Also for sleeping with windows cracked for ventilation, what bug screen options are you considering? 🪰
@CheaperJeeperTV5 ай бұрын
Hey Fran, The wind noise with the window cracked open is minimal, and I'm very happy with that. At night when camping, I insert the screen guard I made in the following video, seen at the 8:39 time stamp. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6evoGyJj8-mkKMsi=tkyh3VGXGW9CAyJH However I cut it to be slimmer so that it doesn't extend too far below the visor. The window vents from this video would work nuicely as well. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHqsqoRqrbN5gaM I hope that helps. Cheers.
