Epic footage of a rare rainfall event over Uluru / Ayers Rock at Uluru - Kata Tjuta National Park in the Australian Desert. Uluru receives an average of 328mm (13 inches) of rainfall per year. Less than 5% of visitors ever see rainfall on Uluru.
During our visit on 6 September 2015 we were fortunate enough to witness a desert thunderstorm and see rain falling on Uluru.
This video is a remastered version of a similar video I originally uploaded in 2015. This video includes a shortened introduction, improved audio, improved colour correction, and some new footage when compared to the original video.
