Fall damage is calculated through the speed of the fall so you basically just blasted around so fast that making impact with the ground was fatal. Fun fact: slugcats are literally the only ones that can die of fall damage in this game!

A while ago I discovered that if you use a grapple grub, you can essentially take fall damage but from a wall. I barely caught onto a ledge as I was falling at basically terminal velocity, and got Slammed into a wall, concussing my slugcat and ending up with ded by falling off the map.

10:33 It's not actually glitched, it's just stuck in the ground because you speared it. It doesn't happen often, but it's really fun when you do it to a lizard and it survives the first spear. You can mess with them while they're stuck and can't do anything (which usually involves bouncing on them or putting more spears in them to turn them into a new part of the wall)

You can tell that a lizard is tamed usually when they run fast directly towards you and don’t try to attack, and if there’s no threat music. The threat music has multiple layers to it depending on the threat present, so if you tamed it there shouldn’t be any, unless there are other lizards or creatures present. You can see if it’s tamed by going into an empty room, and if you don’t hear anything when it comes its tamed. Also if it does follow you that’s another sign it’s tamed, since normally it would lose interest in you if you run far away enough, so if it is running to you wherever you go then it’s tamed. With the cyan (yeet) lizard you tamed and stabbed after, there was no threat music present and it following you that much was enough to know it’s tamed. Extra tips for taming - Green and cyan lizards are the only lizards that eat other lizards, but the only type they eat are blue lizards. They usually get instantly tamed from a blue, unless you stab it or something. - If you don’t sleep with a tamed lizard in a shelter you will lose a bit of reputation with it (lizards have rep like scavs btw, only with lizards they become tamed when they get enough) which can cause it to become untamed, but it still might be passive towards you. And you can easily tamed it again since you already had enough rep for it to be tamed before. - Taming a lizard also can raise regional (idk about global) lizard reputation. This happened to me when I tamed a red lizard as monk in outskirts, I couldn’t get it into a shelter and the next cycle it and all other lizards there became passive to me.

i think taming lizards does raise global rep, when i played as monk i tamed a greeny and a black lizard (i think?) and afterwards The Leg was way nicer since white lizards wouldn't attack me (i even tamed one!)

One telltale sign that a lizard is your friend is if it enters a shelter with you, lizards do not enter scug shelters unless they are tamed. You can also tell if a lizard is aggressive if it hisses or uses abilities like the jump boost when approaching you.

I have an idea for a new slugcat mod, but have no idea how to do so. Idea: The Collector Desc. A large and experienced Slug-cat, little stamina, but has collected many items of interest throughout its lifetime, has made friends with many, and enemies with many more. You carry a large Rucksack that you can use as a shield pod by climbing into and rolling down hills, the large number of items cushions your fall when inside the bag, but crushes you when landing whilst carrying it (Falling large heights deal double damage when outside of Rucksack, falling whilst inside bag deals no fall damage, even if you fall off the Wall). Extra Abilities: Holding C = Enter Rucksack, If you do this whilst out of sight line from enemies, you can hide from them. Holding Q + Slug-cat carries item = You place item inside of Rucksack for later use. (Can store more items with cost of climbing speed instead of food pips) Holding E = Ejects all items from Rucksack. Holding Q + both hands empty = Random item from rucksack is placed in Slug-cat handset. Holding Q + Rucksack Empty + Slugcat Carrying Dead Animal = Store animal in backpack, (can only be done if Rucksack is completely empty). Passive Abilities: Tools of the Trade = Merchant Scavengers will give you a choice of 1 free item, at the cost of 5 Scavenger reputation points (Cannot use when under 50 Scavenger Reputation) Unlikeliest Allies = Scavenge Reputation will always remain above 20, no matter what. Work Smarter, not harder = You can craft ‘Gardens’ which can be placed under Fruit clusters to gather them automatically. No more foraging for scraps! Campaign goal: “A Feast For The Ages!” Bring a dead body of every type of every animal, and fruit (except for scavengers, leviathans, and Rain Deer, ) And bring them to the new region of the map, “Scavenger’s Utopia”.
