the reason you weren't able to get the ending was because you didn't increase your max social credit to 10 you can do this by either visiting lowtierpebbles (basically the puppet of a giant supercomputer who's gaming rig you squirm around in) or by visiting space octopi (note that this is very inneficient and has some requirements that i wont be stating here, if you want this info go visit the wiki)

DLC is actually good since slug cats have different abilities to help you out but even then took me 100 hours to complete it

centipedes actually don't detect you by sound, they just can only see you whenever you are moving.

Centipedes both can see and hear you, but they prioritise sound as their eye-sight is very very weak.

The "hibernation states" is actually called "Karma", and you need to visit Five Pebbles (or a bunch of echoes) to reach Karma 10/× before the Guardians will let you pass.

For those playing survivor in Shaded Citadel the spiders are only dangerous when grouped up, so the faster you go without fear the better your chances. Or you can throw a spear into the masses and watch them go weeee

Tip: if you got bit by a lizard don't reset the game until it take you into a den. You have a chance of escape when it run into another lizard and they fought over you

I strongly recommend trying out the DLC, it gives so much replay value its like rain world 2 and yes at least you play specifically to master the movements the dying probably wont stop, just get a bit less frequent (from personal experience) BUT it is nevertheless one of my all time favorite games and I would recommend it to honestly anyone

Uhm actually, not all enemies kill you in one chomp, you're not dead yet, you can still be freed if they accidentally let go or they start fighting another creature 🤓

Please finish the game! It’s really cool but also feels like walking around your local 711 while high. SPOILERS But to do so you will have to get back the the area with funny flying blue ball at the top of the wall and take the other path and just keep going (it’s impossible to miss) and now go back to the funny force men.

skill issue honestly but really, once you play this game enough and it CLICKS. You've got (almost) a masterpiece. Every problem can be solved if you are either well-equipped or good enough. (ex: for white lizards blocking your path, use firecrackers to scare it away or spear it, whatever is easier.)

Plenty of games are unfair because their designers were assholes. Rain World is unfair because life is sometimes unfair. It's not because the devs deliberately placed a red lizard directly in the other end of a pipe off screen you couldn't possibly have seen before you went through it, instantly killing you in an unavoidable manner. It's because that lizard's AI just happened to wander to that exact spot at that exact time. Because that's life. Sometimes shit just happens. And the universe has no concept of "fair."

I still suck at this game, lol! But indeed.. if you can pass the harshness and adapt to know what you should do, Rain World is an amazing experience! The DLC makes the game 3x bigger. It is a good DLC, but I do recommend you beat at least the monk/survivor and look up the story to know better if you'll really want to buy it.

I guarantee you don’t actually suck that bad, I still suck while having 1000 hours. I recommend that if you actually suck as bad as you say looking for a movement tutorial or be like me and learn combat and just kill everything and tame red lizards because you decided you like being at the top of the food chain.

Lets be honest youre bad at the game But to get to the end you need max karma unlocked you didnt have X karma thats why they wouldnt let you get past. Get better even do it takes time .. Oh and eating neurons "those flying things in pebbles" will make your body glow giving you free light

You can get your spear back from a pole plant if you're fast enough, and you can throw something to get some of the leeches off of you and you can get out of the water a couple times that way
