Several changes are self-explanatory, but I think new players need this guide because they aren't familiarized with the game yet. In a future update you could make a manual tab explaining what everything does, but with a spoiler warning depending on what the configuration is about.

Think of it less of a guide, and more of an overview. Each setting is self-explanatory, but for some like the breath meter, some players might want to know how it's visualized or for another like stronger gripping, they might want to know how much it actually changes. If you are the one who designed the menu, it's well done. It serves as a good menu, and the simple fact you don't have to scroll down for anything means it's automatically well made by design. Some players just want to see an in-game visual of how each mechanic works instead of testing it all themselves.

I really like the rain time multiplier I set my multiplier to 0.5 when playing as survivor and it made survivor a much tougher speed based experience where every second counts and you constantly have to be using your mobility and spending as little time as possible eating food or even skipping food if its too hard to get and at the end of each cycle you barely survive from doing all of this so it makes quite the speedy survivor experience

"Key Items on Passage" seems to require a game restart to function, which I'm pretty sure is why it didn't work for you.

I really wished they pushed the whole Groumand concept to make something like a "Nerdcat"(so to speak) , a cat that doesnt have much of streight or agility as even Survivor had but make up it's lack of physical might with might of intellegence Being able to craft powerful weponary or useful tools out of numerous objects , creating something entitely new(bow or slingshot for example) and instead of storing things inside their stomach they could make bags out either skin or leaves or leather Basically , we combine all crafting cababilities , gave them new toys to craft , and made them slow as roduntness and weak as monk set all this somewhere between Rivelt's and Saint's campaings Done! Now call it Steve from Minecraft

It doesnt, these accessibility options will work similarly to Dead Cells Continue mode. Its not the intended experience but the devs put there so it can be played by everyone

Do you know what the colored diamonds in the top right corner of the sleep page indicate? I’ve been trying to figure it out since the DLC came out and i’m not sure if it’s just part of the DLC or if it’s remix too. I’ve been digging online trying to find info on it but every search i’ve done has been like “oh, you mean the achievements?” which is not what I’m confused about 😔

I'll be honest, but such amount of customisability hurts the intended experience which is finely-tuned by developers, and goes against the spirit of the game in general (having to adapt to situations outside of your control). Giving so much preference variety for new players can throw them off, i hope that this menu hidden somewhere in options, and that player is warned that tinkering with checkboxes may mess with the experience.

You can see where it's buried by the end of the video. These settings don't bombard the player, they have to enable them at all, and even when you do you have the option of using a preset configuration of settings. I don't think it'll be annoying or overwhelming at all.

I don't think new players will immediately start messing with these options. And while I love Rain World, sometimes people are just really bad at videogames, or they don't have the ability for precise and fast inputs that are sometimes necessary to survive in this game. Also, the timer on the rain can be incredibly anxiety-inducing. I for one am happy that we get to adjust it because for a long time I just turned the rain off with a mod. It drove me crazy with worry about not getting to a shelter on time and I constantly had to check my map without making any real progress. I still felt a bit bad for cheating, even though it made me enjoy the game way more just fighting off lizards and stuff without worrying about a time limit. Now I can just make cycles a bit longer, and let the map load faster.

@@JakobatHeart Because downpour wasn't developed by original authors, meaning that they may have (and do have) a different vision on difficulty of the game, which may deform the original vision and experience.

You can force enable them in the More Slugcats Expansion config menu Or you could just complete Gourmand's food list (sorry I'm 5 months late)

I think some remix options are currently broken, because when ever i turned "pull spears from walls" off it would only turn off with the three slugcats from the base game, but was on with the downpour slugcats. And "wiggle out of grasp" hasn't worked for me with any slugcat, seems like a cool concept though.

I guess, you tried the Artificer, right? She has an exclusive built-in ability to pull the spears out of walls.

@@nessaoku4215 cause he doesn't need it? He dets infinite spears anyway, while being lighter than starving survivor. Arti is driven by rage, and she looks strong enough to pull the spears out of the walls

@@elaisthicc I thought he should be able to because it’s in the name “SPEARMASTER” if he can’t grab spears from walls might as well be able to grab only his own spears , arti is a strong and can pull a spear from the wall yet gourmand does 3x damage the normal slugcat??
