If a high stat scav gets too close to your cover, you always have your parry to make a swift escape. A rare bug might make scavs parry spears they don't know are there, but it almost never happens if you aim for a headshot.

Some extra advice for spearmaster if you plan on allying with scavs; when you're at a high enough rep with them they may decide to share a shelter with you, which will raise your relationship with them and give you a little bonus at the end of the run. HOWEVER, in the second half of spearmaster you get a key item which just so happens to be a *pearl*. For the love of god, whatever you do, DO NOT let them shelter with you if you have the pearl because they WILL grab it before you can even wake up and you WILL have to steal it back from them. As good as you think you are at the game you WILL NOT be able to just grab the pearl back, you WILL go down a lot of rep, every time you die they WILL still be in the shelter and the exact thing WILL happen, and it'll be a fight so one sided it puts the entirety of artificer's campaign to shame. AVOID sheltering with scavs when you have the pearl at ALL COSTS please I BEG YOU do NOT do what I did even with dev tools on I struggled to get out of that situation

Btw you can use a passage to teleport to another shelter with the pearl in this kind of situations. Scavs, hostile lizards and any other uninvited guests in your shelter won't be teleported so you'll be safe.

One more tip for HUNTER You dont have to rest in every shelter on your way. There are a lot of shelters that you should skip to save cycles. For example, the one at Chimney, between Sky Islands and the Wall.

My biggest tip: If you place a spore down in front of a reindeer, it will kneel, drop its head and eat the spore for about 2 seconds. You can very easily jump up and grab it's antlers. Also, exploding a spore makes then come faster, but then they stay in that exact spot forever, don't explode the spores, just wait. Also, you can get vulture masks as Saint! And Monk! Wait next to an open air scav toll, a vulture will come, then let the scavs fight it. Hopefully, a scav will get a lucky shot and you can snag it first, or trade a pearl for it. Also, mirros vultures will fight other vultures in Garbage Wastes, and rip their masks off. Once the fight is over, grab it and run. Finally, keep moving! A lot of mobs will take a moment to notice you, and often won't chase you into the next room. If you keep moving as Artificer, the scav parties can't lock onto your location and you can avoid them.

A tip for Spearmaster: Just because you can dual-wield spears doesn't mean you always should. When fighting lizards, one rock and one spear is better than two spears most of the time, since you can flip them over and then stab them. Also, if you need _more_ than two spears to kill something, find a safe place to make a lot of spears beforehand. Picking up a premade spear off the ground is much faster than trying to make a new one.

Dude I’m currently playing artificer’s campaign, and I can’t decide if I love it or hate it. On one side, I get to double jump and craft bombs. On the other side, THERE ARE SPIDERS EVERYWHERE. Wanna go through the leg and see pebbles? You’re gonna get jumped by spiders HUNDREDS OF TIMES at 90 mph the moment you switch a screen. I’d rather deal with the daddy long legs than the fucking spiders that grew up in the hood side of metropolis 😭 Oh yeah, and scavs gun you down on SIGHT. There is NO reason that scavenger who looks like an underpaid dollar store employee should be able to aimbot snipe me from two screens over. God forbid I don’t notice them the moment I enter a pipe.

I know this video is 4 months old but huge massive tip for Mr. Gourmand - at the beginning of Outer Expanse, there is a couple rooms with baby centipedes. Grab one and a rock, then combine the result (a beehive) with another baby centipede and boom, a living grapple worm (you have created life). This grapple worm turns Sunken Pier from the most frustrating platforming ever to the most fun part of the campaign as you swing around like a wrecking ball.

Here is an extra tip for gourmand: not only falling on creatures does damage, sliding and rolling does aswell, though it is often less than falling. That said, backflips, even when gourmand is tired, will allow him to roll.

If you really are struggling with a slugcat and you have Downpour, go to the Remix menu and activate cheats that allow you to play different slugcats, or try them in Expedition to get a feel for their vibes and playing styles. I actually did this, and it was much better to play a different slugcat when I was struggling on a specific one and come back. More often than not, if you’re not vibing with a scug, it’s because some are more difficult than others despite their unlock requirements. (Hunter is a good example of this, never play Hunter before Artificer or Spearmaster.)

I played monk first after having my balls kicked in by survivor for only an hour. Ive gotten loads of friends to play rainworld and one piece of advice for artificer I noticed is that the explosive spears are useful, but you can only kill one thing with it, and if you miss, the spear is wasted, so sometimes normal spears are good enough, considering the higher spear damage you get anyways. Grenades are always good thought as they can kill alot in one go

Something weird about how I tell people that want to play the game, I actively try to get them to NOT (especially if they are prone to rage quitting). If they are insistent, I will suggest starting with monk, due to him being Bebe and easy mode. I will then proceed to tell them to NOT PLAY HUNTER YET. Not until you are 100% sure that you have mastered survival.
