EATING AT 7-11 IN HAWAII FOR 24 HOURS!! Beginning my Asia Tour February 2023

Hi Raina! Hawaii resident here, which is why I clicked when it popped up, and I also enjoy your eating challenges. Glad you had a chance to visit! Just a tiny clarification though....there ARE a bunch of ABC stores, but they are concentrated mostly in the Waikiki and Ala Moana area where you stayed which us why it might seem like they outnumber 7-11's, but we do actually have more 7-11's overall. They are owned by Japanese. In my small neighborhood alone, we have 5. ABC's are also quite expensive because they are trying to catch the tourist dollar, so if you want to buy chocolate macadamia nuts, do not go to ABC. Better off going to Don Quijote near Ala Moana SC.

7-11 is the local go to . ABC stores are just loaded in the tourist areas. They are also the most expensive. Love your videos!

My mom grew up in Hawaii, when she took us to visit as kids we started calling the ABC stores All Blocks Covered. You can stand in one and see the next one from the door. It at least you could 15ish years ago.

It's funny how you said about being Asian and noticing the 20% off wrap. I'm disabled and chronically ill so have very little money which means I'm always noticing the discounted food options 😂. There is almost nothing wrong with it and you get to experience food that you otherwise would miss out on because of the original cost. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

ABC Stores are only in tourist spots like Waikiki. 7-11 is all over and is owned by 7-11 Japan, so the set up is almost like Japan when it comes to food.

The ABC stores are so awesome!! Best to go to the swap meet at the stadium for take home trinkets. Much less expensive than on Waikiki beach area! And super cool too! 🩷👍

There are hand crank chargers for your phone. They work great in emergencies. I have a Red Cross branded one that doubles as a flashlight. If you carry a purse or something, you might want to keep one in there.

If your still in Hawaii go to the Shirokiya food court in the Ala Moana Shopping Center . They have a bunch of different places to choose from and they are all awesome.

Aloha from Ewa Beach! As a local just a heads up. Be very careful when you’re out at night in Waikiki. There’s a lot of violent crime that goes on there. I wouldn’t go out at night there even if I was with other ppl. Sad but true. Stay safe

Not sure if you knew but there's a Lawson's in the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. Next time go and check that out then compare to what you usually see at the Lawson's in Japan.

I wish we had that type of gas station food here in Wisconsin. Luckily we have family owned Hmong grocery stores here with the most delicious crispy pork belly, egg rolls and papaya salad and its really cheap.

You never travel with a dead phone. I travel with my charger and back up battery pack. Purchase a battery pack for cell if you can. Try to keep some cash on you too. I love Hawaii!! Safe travels and have fun!

What a terrible experience, but thank goodness for the kind (and physically adept) people who helped you. You probably learned the lesson about taking care of your phone everywhere you go, but also to lock your lanai doors when you go out. I know people whose Waikiki condo on the 23rd floor was burglarized by guys who crawled onto the balcony from next door! ABC Stores are actually only common in the Waikiki/Ala Moana area for tourists, but there are 65 7-Eleven stores all over the island(s). Note: We usually don't consider spam or other musubi with meat and nigiri sushi with lots of rice to be a good thing, but I guess if there is a lot of meat on top of the musubi, the ratio is OK. And, yes, the price of food IS high in Hawai'i, but usually even higher in Waikiki. I know you're going to have some great food for much better prices (especially if the dollar is strong) on your tour of Asia!

You’ll only see ABC stores in Waikiki. It’s definitely not, the “Hawaii store” lol. If you liked the ABC chicken musubis, you gotta try foodlands chicken musubi. Also, 711 deluxe musubi is way better than ABC.
