JAY, i am so glad you didnt give up and got the feel of it. with each new twist of colors you get more and more experience of how awesome this can be. i am scared to do too much marbling at once, so i add slowly but it really is one of my favorite things to do. i am glad you love it too :D *huge hug and love to you*

When i first started doing nails professionally, this was the first type of nail designs i learned. They are very simple and looks like you a very creative. My clients used to love this. I have slowly in the last three years progressed to double loaded flowers. Love the inspiration.

thank you. i was never into doing premier shows or really being a hollywood manicurist. my love is in teaching and having a nail art family and laughing and being goofy. when i HAVE worked in those conditions its very rush and wait and no one is very nice and its very clinical and fast paced...thats why i love youtube....it allows me to do both :D

This made sooooo much more sense than the one I just watched from another person! She dabbed the color in the water, made rings, then wrapped her finger with tape, swirled the colors together, then put it on her nail......thank you for making it simpler!!!

Wow... This is so much better as compared to the water marble technique. Less messy as well and you can create your own designs and ensure the colours you want are on your nails. Thank you. Will definitely be trying this.

i never have used water when i am dealing with polish. i use a dry brush. if you dip it in remover before you swirl, that would work find but you might have bleeding, i just use a dry brush and i paint through the colors like the brush is an ice skater and it just runs fluidly through the nail. i hope this helps!
@robinmosesnailart11 жыл бұрын
yes. you must pull off all excess varnish. do you see in the video where my finger pulls over and takes off the extra polish. this allows the nail enamel to become flat and dry normally.

That's how I"ve been painting with polishes and acrylics for years! I paint statues and canvas though, because i always thought it got too thick on nails and took forever to dry. Thanks for showing me the way to pull some of it off of nails. Now i can start doing it again!

I used to do this years ago...I saw a tech do one, bought a design to see it again, from then on, I was golden on my own, no fancy brushed...I had a bottle of topcoat that took ages to dry, so I'd take the brush out of that to do the swirl, dip it in nail polish remover & wipe it down, repeat until done. I did various shades of blue with silver & gold glitter polish & those clear "diamonds" scattered all over for Christmas (I love blue...I actually came up with the idea for Hanukkah). I found if I had an orange stick I could embed the "diamonds" in the swirls before they dried. I'd swirl red & green but that's really HARD...it can turn brown really quick. Adding glitter polish in gold, silver, & bronze helped a lot. So did swirling the glitters & red on one nail, glitters & green on the next...which allowed placing red, green, clear, & if you had them, gold "diamonds" in the swirls. I'd often try to paint a manger, 3 magi, shepherds, a star, angels, often in silhouette at the bottom of the nail. Pinks & reds with or without glitter & "diamonds" for Valentine's...I found it better to omit glitter from the multiple greens for St. Patrick's Day...I'd draw a pot of gold in the curler of the nail, use a thin, medium stripe brush to paint an arched rainbow off the corner of the nail on top, put a cluster of gold colored "diamonds" at the pot, & put gold glitter polish on top, then the topcoat. I did sometimes put "diamonds" of all the rainbow colors scattered around the arch. Easter was rainbow swirls, neon with glitter paint, plus a sun at the top corner &, because of my faith, a grey tomb with yellow & gold glitter in the middle & a rock for the tomb door partway across that. I often did that only on the thumbs, & put lilies, "He is Risen," crosses, angels, on the other fingers. Independence Day was red, white, & blue swirls, often with wavy red & white stripes &/or multi color sprays with the colors mixed with glitter on waxed paper before I applied the fireworks. I sometimes tried Lady Liberty's torch, but I was never good with that. I also sometimes just put fireworks only at the tops of the nails, &/or the red & white flag stripes, instead of white for French manicures, & every time I do fireworks, a colored "diamond" goes in the middle of the design. That works pretty well for Memorial Day & Labor Day, too. I don't do halloween, but I suppose black & orange swirls would be nice. Thanksgiving, I generally used earth tone colors. I don't have all those colors anymore, & I usually don't do much with my nails (that's about to change with all these water designs & the gradient colors that use makeup sponges). If OU want to try any of my old tricks, feel free.
