Bright blessings and a big thank you for your level headed presentation of the Gathering of the Tribes. Thanks for carrying out trash as the sign suggested and thanks to all the Clean-up Crew. It will take a few years before everything regrows, but I have talked to lots of Scouts who go back to Gathering sites years later and the report is always that it looks pretty much like it did before the Gathering happened. Lovin' you!

Thank you for your honest first hand witness account and glowing report demonstrating the hard work of Rainbow Gathering clean up and site reparation. I'm thrilled to see that family tradition being carried on by the small but fiercely dedicated crew that stayed to see this one through! It is a shame about the bridges. I'm an old gathering goer who can recall times the Forest Service Resource people recognized and frankly appreciated the beauty and functionality of their construction, so they let some sturdy rainbow bridges remain for future hikers to enjoy.

Good job and very positive to see Looking for the reclamation video. The process does show an alternative to the often more destructive lifestyle of the urban world. As we see more homesteaders in the hills cooperation and woodland living will need to learn how to be so light on the earth with such large numbers.

I have been to many Nationals although not for many years and not this year. I so appreciate your videos, your total awesome openness, observations, and local opinion. It's not all rainbows and roses for sure but in general it's a fantastic life experience that is a beautiful window into humanity...the best and the worst. I have always worried about the impact on the land and with not a lot of experienced long time rainbows attending, was super concerned this year. So happy to have watched your latest with the reclamation footage and to know...as humans, we did ok.

As someone who grew up going to many of these in the 80s amd 90s, and a handful since the 2000s, I really enjoyed your video and your perspective. You seem like a local that would be there other times for your normal leisure, please do another follow-up next summer and show what it looks like.... I would've loved to make the trip from Idaho and brought my kids to this place, as it was the 50th rainbow, and my father was one of the originals at the 1972 Colorado gathering.... unfortunately we didn't make it down... Cheers...and thanks for the videos.

Probably not practical with this many people, but I use a sawdust composting toilet... Basically it's a 5 gal bucket with a snap-on seat/lid that I line with a trash bag and use sawdust to cover the "evidence". It doesn't smell, and it can all be carried out and composted off-site.

From ol clean up crew,,, ~Thanks~ for the follow up n local perspective... It's not always easy what some of those kids left behind have to endure while doing there duty to love of the Forests and also "The Rainbow Family", they can be harassed for the messes before they get a chance to finish clearing the site... I'd like to see the 6mo. and the 6 year perspective from you as well. Knowing that animal and or locals may continue using trails which are supposed to be left duffed bridges removed and all re-naturalized as best possible as far as anything we made or was left on our account is important ~Peace~

@angeladansie43782 жыл бұрын
@@traveldna4625 I agree. I started Rainbowing before directions were published on the internet. You had to run into someone, or know the phone number to get directions. Rainbow was smaller & less hard drug using street people attended. It was more peaceful, but now it reaches more people & helps many heal. The wider accessibility is a mixed blessing. But there are areas of the Gathering where you can totally avoid the drugs
@strive2thrivive290 Жыл бұрын
You could really tell the "purists". Those that really embodied the spirit of what the rainbows, at least say they represent. They all felt like you. Really down to Earth. They were the ones that really made a difference. Positive changes. You could feel it in their vibe. Different. Cleaner energy. Better.

Also if ya dig and enjoyed this video and dig the Rainbow people and hung out with them in the Golan Heights 😀 you may also enjoy the song " Most of All " By Glenn Kaiser and Where Roses Grow Live by Rez Band Awesome songs check them out. Also I remember hearing the song by Led Zepp " In My Time of Dyin " during my drug years and made me think about death and Jesus. Then a hippy friend that dug Jesus told me more of Jesus love and forgiveness and how I could also know Jesus love. So in 1981 I cried out to Jesus and wow man He came into my life and I had and have so much joy and peace and now know that through Jesus when I die I will be with Him in Heaven. Hey Jesus loves each of you also and yall can know Him if you are at all open. Just cry out to Him and a good question to ask yourself if you were to die today would you go to heaven ? And if yes why ? To find out more please read the Gospel of John in the Bible or check out the movie on KZbin. 😀

Unfortunately every group will have trouble makers, ..the difference is in rainbow they are shown love and a certain level of tolerance so that they grow into a person no longer troubled. As far as the locals and "authority", given time and space the tenders of the land among the rainbow people luckily there are those who care and go above and beyond to make space better than they received it even when confronted with disrespect, apprehension and assumption. Acceptance, growth, oneness, and a divine way of interaction with each other in natural ways is being thwarted by those who have sworn to protect and serve WE THE PEOPLE. They initiated violence on people who are not harming anyone. It's a shame we live in a culture with so many people who are not responsible that we feel we must hire those with heavy hands to punish them. Rainbow is going to be a unique experience because they accept all people, even those with disabilities, trauma, and abandonment with love, acceptance and tolerance. You can bet in this community that if you are a dangerous person, it's a f*** around and find out way of dealing with it. Diversity is how we can most efficiently and beyouthefully experience life....I'd feel as if I was in a prison if everyone was exactly like me.

That weird smell was DMT by the way. these dudes smoke it like nothin. I'm fine with these kind of festivals but I wish they would recognize the fact that you cannot do this in a wild space with this many people. I mean just logistically it takes A LOT of coordination to pull of a festival safely with thousands of people. I also hate that they usually just turn into one large open air drug market. Which again, could be fine but the people that show up are usually really bad.
