Actually Monty Mole is the variation since Rocky Wrench first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 3 while Monty Mole first appeared in Super Mario World It's even more obvious in Japan where Rocky Wrenches name (transliterated) is "Puu", while Monty Moles name (also transliterated) is "Choropuu"

That thumbnail got me excited for minute lol but that poster with the monty mole looks like one of those monty moles that originally came from super Mario bros 3, they have a disc shaped thing on there head and they also pop out of the ground and throw wrenches but i dont recall any board that would have those guys, although now that i think about it what if its for the raceway board since those monty moles have wrenches, they could be a promotion for them working on the carts. But anyway i just hope we get a secret 8th board preferably a MP3 board but ill take anything.

That being said, if you look up “rocky wrench”, that enemy type is wearing glasses, so maybe it is a rocky wrench. I believe its just another poster for the goomba island. I believe the small portrait poster says lava and that hints to the goomba volcano island. I don't think there would be an 8th board though as usually something as big as a board wouldn't go unannounced completely and 7 is the most we've gotten in forever already. Could also be a 20 player mode map of some sort too. If there is more boards though, Id think they might finally do dlc but still iffy.

@@nobodynobodoy2695 While I do feel it’s odd to have different ads for a board (aside from Galleria), I do think it’s possible monty moles and/or rocky wrenches come out of the volcano on Goomba’s Lagoon. There are no visible signs of that creature on the main board, so it would have to be something like that where they get added onto the board due to an event. I’m also thinking they won’t do DLC because of the next gen console launch, but I guess if the console doesn’t come out until next fall, they could do 1 pack of DLC in the spring.

Kinda just wish instead of getting a brand new game they just gave us the updates Superstars deserved! Firstly they add a brand new progression system! You now need to collect a Super Star currency! The Star difficulty level of a board is how many super stars it costs to unlock(ex: Horror Land is 5 Super Stars, Peach’s Birthday Cake is 3 Super Stars)and you also have to unlock the second row of characters as the first row has all the mains and the second row has the secondaries. You start off the game with three super stars to choose any one of the one-three star boards and maybe even put extra towards a character or so! As for characters row one has Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong all 6 available to play as for free! Then underneath each we see Wario, Waluigi, Rosalina, (new)Pauline, Birdo, and (new)Diddy Kong all of which cost one super star. You get super stars by playing standard Mario party matches and having an actual player(not NPC)win will net one. There is also a small chance in each game that one of the shops will have a super star added in the last 5 turns and there is a big announcement and it’s interesting as that far into the game one of the players has to be willing to sacrifice 100 coins for it so that everyone can have more fun with additional characters and boards! This update could also make it so that the boat in order to get to mini-game island now costs one super star as well! I feel like there should be some way to earn super stars on mt. Mini-games but I don’t know quite how. But they should also separate your level into a Mario Party and a Mini-Game Level with XP. So you get the Mario Party Level to increase via playing board games and just playing in general and the Mini-Game level increases when you do good in mini-games! They are focused on quality over quantity and level 10 is the max for both. Maybe each level up rewards a super star and then of course it’s displayed on your ID badge too so it would be pretty neat as a reward(and then you get stars in mt. Mini-Games). Also maybe winning on a board you’ve never won before could net two stars instead so that way it incentivizes you to play more variety! But yeah, the first big update could add Two New Characters and change things into an incredibly fun progression system! The second update could add Mario’s Castle Map that they are putting onto Super Mario Party Jamboree and this would be like a one star difficulty and would slot in perfectly as a new unlock with the great progression system! In some maps they had alternate Koopa Banks called like Dry Bones Banks or something. Maybe we won’t get those maps but we could still get these banks! So when you cross them the bank goes into debt and actually pays you the 3/5 coins and if you land on it you have to pay everything loaned out to all players! So what if they just made it so when you pick a board with any banks on it you can choose Koopa Troopa Banks or Dry Bones Banks! While they are at it add a star pricing setting. You can change it by the even number from 2-100 coins! It would be pretty great! If you think you always have a little too much money to spend, increase the price of stars to 24, if you want people to be penny pinching, increase the price to 30 maybe even 40! Having additional game settings is nothing but good. But to prevent overwhelming people just have like the essential six or so settings listed then a last option for Super Specific Settings which pulls up the tab of all other ten things! Maybe they could do stuff like add a Custom Option for end of game star rewards and on the custom option you pick which rewards are given and even how many! What if you made every reward handed out and things would be so chaotic?! What if they added Nabbit in this update to go alongside the new board? He stands with the Random button that way it isn’t awkwardly positioned in the middle. Whenever you start a game you can choose for Nabbit to be a fifth character on the map! Each round he will have a turn and he will walk around and steal and create mischief and such! And to unlock him playable you have to like catch him five times or something! Noting that if he is being played as then you cannot have him be an NPC roaming! This could add so much extra little searching and variety! Then have a third update which would just add Western Land alongside even more mini-games, maybe more shop items, and a new mode or two(three new characters to up it to 16 could be nice but not needed)! This would make the game probably the best rounded out Mario Party with a good amount of quality over quantity and there could be so much nice variety whenever you get mini-games if by the last update they had like 140 total or something and each was remastered with great cutscenes too! We do not need a new Mario party we needed updates to what’s already existing. Two new boards and two new characters to Superstars seemed like the bare minimum and we didn’t even get that in a paid DLC! It just feels greedy for them to make a new game rather than making things right! But hey, maybe jamboree will be fantastic!

It’s almost like it could take place anywhere else. Creepy Cavern in the other hand has all that green water, the sea monster, glowing crystals, and other decoration around it.

I’m surprised this game even came out this year since next gen is coming next year. Well, if you zoom in for the shot when Peach is on the escalator, you can more clearly make out that it’s a Rocky Wrench. And much as I’d like extra boards (and we can’t count out the chance of DLC), it was pointed out to me the official website says this game has 7 boards. If anything, this could be a hint at a boss battle or maybe Rocky Wrench is on the flying game island somewhere. Or perhaps, if Charging Chuck is a power up in that Bowser bomb cannon mode, Rocky Wrench is also an enemy transformation power up? Or there’s always the option of being on Roll Em Raceway, since who better to advertise a kart race board than a mechanic? And who better to have as a mechanic for a board mechanic than Rocky Wrench? Hard to say, but I’m less confident we’ve got any hidden boards now. I’d love to be proven wrong here, though.

@@morpheel If it’s Goomba’s Lagoon, I think that means there’s a multiple of different types of creatures that come out of the volcano, which I think would be cool! Like, maybe sometimes it’s a good thing, and sometimes it’s a bad thing!

@@ItsKevRA Yeah it could be that. Or maybe manholes show up for a certain event or its for a happening space. I definitely agree that the volcano is likely to have multiple types of eruptions. Maybe not only enemies but certain items could come out. Theres a chance the eruptions could be more like a luck thing kind of like a lottery. And the gold goombas could be one of the lucky outcomes. Usually gold in the context of an events means gold wont be the only result. I can't wait to see more about the game. Your theories are very interesting to watch since you look for small details most people will miss. Even if your hockey idea is most likely not accurate since its a rocky wrench, it was still a creative idea with evidence and reasoning which is very entertaining to see

@@ItsKevRA I think the coloring of the stomach and goggles makes it obvious that its a rocky wrench. The manhole could be more stylized or it could be a weird perspective shot of it. Putting a picture of the poster/movie posters next to a rocky wrench and directly comparing them could help to see the differences/similarities. Its hard to tell where the hole ends though so I can understand why youre not 100 percent convinced. Being skeptical is always good. I just don't think it looks like a monty mole

They seem to be doing that for the 20 player mode where we’re fighting Bowser though and shooting canons at him and stuff, and I think that’s where it makes the most sense. Shoehorning boss battles into traditional Mario Party would be a bad idea.

@@grayhacer I think they were good for linear boards where there’s a beginning and an end, but even in those games, they felt very repetitive and kind of made all the boards feel the same as we kept doing the same battles over and over because we would always do a mini boss and a boss battle every single game (Except on the DK map). They also took a lot longer than the other mini-games, which would make practicing them with casuals take forever because they were too important to not let the new or casual play get the hang of them. That’s why I think they’re better suited for a side mode.

Then for the MP3 and MP4 commercials, they don’t give a number, probably because at that point everyone knew there would be a 6th unlockable board, or maybe because MP3 also had duel maps so they didn’t know how to advertise it. Not sure how they approached MP5 and later.
