Moose use to big for me when I had hair. I'm 59 now and my hair left me in my late 40's. I'm just now getting back into my 1/6 scale dolls and action figures. I love shadow high. Great video 👍👍

It's a real disappointment series 5 not having second outfits, because poor Aiden here was stiffed on his basic outfit in the show and so has to settle for this. Feels a bit like MGA's heart isn't in it any more.

As a whole I think that boy dolls don’t get the attention and design that they deserve! Also if boy dolls aren’t selling as well then it’s mostly because of that. It would also help if they build well thought out characters and their traits are integrated into story lines the same way that girl characters are.

The clothes definitely need help, and I want him to have long hair. If they can do girls with long hair, they can do it for boys. The hair color is pretty, but not the style. The boy dolls in this brand always look junior high or younger, not high school. Great video 💗🌸

Ash and Rexx have, hands down, the best outfits of all the boys in my opinion. Next would be Finn, then River and last definitley Aiden. His hair color is great, but the weird style and again tinsel?! There are so many great RH/SH boy customs out there. Maybe MGA should take some notes for future boys. Had to laugh so hard when you said Aiden took grandpa's shorts.

I’m kinda over the whole “undercut is the ONLY style for boys” thing. I love that they flocked Rexx and gave him a unique style, but I want a cool punk/metal dude with Marty Friedman curly locks with some leather pants and a jean jacket covered in patches ( I know they’ve done it! I have Vanessa!). He could be a graffiti artist or music major and come with a guitar. Or even a goth kid. Just something other than “well, he’s a boy so… short with undercut. Boom.” The cool thing about Aidan, because I do like the boy dolls, is his Peepaw shirt has inside pockets! And his phone does sorta fit in them! I love RH/SH’s attention to detail. It is so next level! And maybe this is a call back to the whole mid-teens thing of grandpa chic? Remember the grandpa sweater trend? I dunno. Yeah the Peepaw shorts are ugly. Maybe I’ll try putting him in River’s jeans. Gotta be better than these Dockers shorts on sale at JCPenney for 40% off because hey, it’s almost summer and Dad needs shorts to show off his super white legs at the summer family reunion in Disney World! Poor Aidan…

It’s a shame boy dolls don’t sell well. Having somewhat recently started doll customization, I’ve really been noticing the lack of male options. I do echo other’s though. Perhaps if more boy dolls had really cool designs like Rexx and were treated less like accessories for the girl dolls, maybe sales would increase.

You are 100% on point. Its like they were not inspired when they were developing him. Small touches (like unique buttons, extra pockets, attention to transparency on the shoes so that u could kind of see the socks, etc etc) would have elevated the designs so much. Its like he is missing all the tiny touches that make MGA's dolls special. Btw MGA, its time to invest in designers who specialize in short hair styles for dolls. The payout would be worth the investment. This not cutting it.

So ready for you to have A TALK about boy dolls lol. Aidan's box hair is for sure bizarre. No one parts their hair like that haha (and yes I'd say early 2000s guy hair was all about gelling up your bangs into a peak. Maybe some frosted tips or a fauxhawk if you were more adventurous, but gel was needed nonetheless). I don't hate Aidan's hair color, but on the show it's definitely mostly if not all lavender. Doll hair having multiple colors look better than just a flat color, but i think they couldve had it be both lavender AND iridescent. I saw someone suggest it looks like they had extra hair from the Pacific Coast Margot De Perla doll and just used that for Aidan lol. I cut a lot of my Aidan's hair and tried to gel it into an all over spiky look closer to how it is on the show. I was moderately successful but its not great lol. It also helped hide the weird way his hair is parted/rooted. I will admit undercuts are EXTREMELY popular in modern men's hair...and as a guy who looks at trendy hairstyles online for inspiration...men's hair trends seem stagnant and undercuts have been like the only thing for years. Mullets are a little noted, but its too edgy for most guys it seems. But on dolls, the basic hair is BORING lol. Lets do mullets, textured hair, highlights, fauxhawks, curly mohawks, wavy top knots, etc. As far as Aidan's clothes. They are for sure boring. But it imitates his clothes on the show fairly faithfully apart from the color of his sheer jacket (which should be more lavender). But people wanted an Aidan doll. I was not clamoring for one even as a boy doll collector cuz I saw his outfit on the show and I was thoroughly bored by it. I feel like if they wanted to do something more interesting with his clothes, they would've had to have given him a different look on the show from the beginning...or a makeover episode or something. Side note, he was/is a music focus but his doll is a fashion focus and I think he's like canonically shifting towards fashion...idk what to make of that, but I feel like its a better idea a bit too late. He could've been a fashion-focus boy part of the most popular kids in school, "The As", and been wearing skirts, makeup, nailpolish, earrings, etc. But it seems to me MGA was too afraid of consumer backlash over a boy doll that didn't look traditionally masculine and made him a boring-looking music-focus jock at the art school with two female best friends (I roll my eyes). I mean they even shifted his color palette from lavender on the show to greyish for this doll...What is that supposed to say to me over than femmephobia? Aidan and the rest of the boys really could've done with a fashion trunk like Ainsley and Avery. But of course, I KNOW they would never put in all that effort for a boy doll when they already think no one will buy a regular boy doll....if only they hadn't ditched the second outfits before RH Series 5....maybe lol. Ash is my fave boy doll, and Rexx is pretty good too. Rexx definitely have more vibes of a guy IN FASHION, although beyond his statement coat, he is wearing jeans and a sweatshirt. I could totally have seen him in a black skirt/legging combo and rocking some earrings instead of the boy staple airpods...which at this point seem to exist because they are too afraid to give a boy doll earrings. Sidenote, it also seems to me Rexx has painted nails. They are black, but its definitely not the matte black skintone, its a glossy darker black color. I think Rexx with a second outfit that was edgier could've been MAJOR but unfortunately we lost that option. Final note, I think Aidan looks like he has a darker skintone on the show. Kind of weird that they changed that. Also his lavender hair/clothing and darker skin are visible on his laptop and I think it's kind of awkward they just straight up show you how much they didn't really match his look from the show with the doll lol.

I feel like the Shadow High boys tend to look better than the Rainbow High boys from my experience with them. Ash and Rexx both look cool and more like boys to me. River and Aiden, by comparison, feel a bit awkwardly designed to me. The face molds look a bit more feminine to me on the RH boy dolls, and even River has more interesting clothes than Aiden. Part of me also wants MGA to make an Assistant doll, but another part of me knows that the Assistant's design will probably look even more basic and uninteresting than Aidan's design.

I think the feminine face mold works for aiden. He reminds me of a K-pop boyband member, and so when I do get him, he's gonna be restyled in some of the royal three pieces
