Hello, Grant, thank you for this awesome tutorial. I do wonder though, how did you get rid of the ugly pixels on the edges of your text after applying coloroma. It seems that your CC composite did the job and the ugly pixels disappear after that, but it doesn't work for me. Is there something I missed or a way to fix it?

I didn't do anything extra that isn't in the tutorial... Could be my composition settings. Consider changing you color depth from 8bit to 16 or 16 to 32 and see if that helps?

If God tells you to do it then DO IT! Ask Him and you’ll never have to second guess your choices. There are lots of ways to get into the industry but none of them quick or easy: very possible though and lots of need for motion graphics and video👍🏻

have you done anymore film style fx while trying to account for yt compression? or compressed video in general
@GrantMFletcher Жыл бұрын
My best suggestion would be to use grain, either stock or an effect. Then export your final as Apple ProRes. Then re-encode that as H264, maxing out the “quality”. But yeah KZbin is absolutely going to compress the heck out of it.

Hi im using colorama hue cycle and the colors on my end aren’t transitioning as smooth as yours. How can i fix this?
@GrantMFletcher Жыл бұрын
🤔 It’s hard for me to tell what’s going wrong without a little more information. It could be the iterations between the dropshadows, it could be you are in 8bit instead of 16 or 32bit, it could be you are using too many colors in colorama or too many repetitions or haven’t got the “interpolate palette” checkbox checked. Any of those work?

@@GrantMFletcher I'll try those out

I have this pack and haven't used it in a year. All of the title templates have these square color blocks on them. I think a preset might be missing. Do you know how to resolve?
@GrantMFletcher2 жыл бұрын
So sorry to hear you haven't used these yet! I think what you are referring to is that you haven't relinked the stock footage, as in there are some footage files "offline". It's an extremely easy fix by in AE right-clicking the files in the assets folder, choose replace footage, find where you have put the footage on your machine. New version of the pack comes out today where I have replicated stock footage using AE effects so you don't have to relink anything.

Wish you didn't make that cut at 8:35, it seems more was done besides adding the extra drop shadow to make the colors blend better, but I'm not sure what was adjusted :/
@GrantMFletcher Жыл бұрын
Yeah this was an early tutorial. I know better now :P But honestly the only thing that changed, like I said, was the additional drop shadow and then adjusting all of the brightness values to divide them per how many drop shadows there are. Which is what I said earlier anyway. It's worth mentioning no one taught me this; I came up with this from experimentation. I'd highly recommend taking the time to try some stuff out so it looks the way you want it to. You could come up with something way cooler from those "happy accidents". :)
