This is SO good! I've said this before, KingSparta. Please keep making mashups. I actually don't care if they're Mario Kart-related. Cloudsdale Sanctuary and Rainbow Road (both versions) were my favorite songs by you. Sonic is a great series to mix with.

The flashing Pinkie is also a mythology gag. The previous generation's equivalent to Pinkie Pie was a white and yellow pegasus named Surprise. Same cutie mark, same attitude, etc. Lauren Faust's early concept art had Surprise, but she was redesigned into an earth pony to balance the cast out to two of each type.

I was driving on the highway when the final lap remix came on. I downshifted into the fast lane as an SUV ahead of me blew a tire, hatch popping open and showering the road in pink confetti. It then swerved and hit a minivan, shattering its passenger windows and allowing several dozen balloons to escape. A pickup carrying a large box from a bakery slammed on its brakes, sending the cake inside the box flying. I avoided the accident, but then I caught a glimpse of a blue apple in my mirror...

Fanfastic work from previous version. One thing that I'd like to say... (Even though I said it last time.) Most of Mario Kart Rainbow Road remixes are based on N64 version. It is quite sad not to hear the original SNES version tune. Just a little bit of reference would be nice too.
