Hey! I'm a maximalist who moves a ton and one thing I suggest is to buy large cork bulletin boards. Put all your posters and stickers on those, so that when you move next time you just have to take down a few boards! Then you can put all your posters/stickers back up in a single day! Also! Use your stuffed animals/tutus kinda like packing peanuts for your breakable items. That way you will save money on bubble wrap!

Watching this made me feel a little more confident about my hello kitty collection, lately I’ve been collecting too much and I thought I’d start de cluttering because I’m growing older and mind you I’ve been collecting for about a year and I suddenly felt overwhelmed and my mom was being a bit rude about my Love for hello kitty and monster high, other otaku memorabilia but want to keep it all now.. The only advice i have for moving as a maximalist is to use garbage bags for soft things: clothes, plushies, blankets, pillows, bedsheets, anything else really! I dunno how obvious of a tip it is (i've only moved once after all), but i share it just in case!

Also moving advice: vacumn sealing and labels are your friend. I like the big ikea style bags for moving anything like clothes, plushies, linen etc. Shoe boxes are amazing for smaller accessories, figures etc. Break up things like magazines and books as they can make every box SO heavy, so best to do a good mix in your boxes just to make life easier. Also, just start slowly. Chip away so you don't get so overwhelmed come moving day. Good luck!

I love your sticker wall!!! An other great time/place to find decorative and colourful stuff is during early summer in places where they sell decorations for the garden, you can find a bunch of butterfly/flower/animal themed trinkets and maybe a few gnomes if you're lucky 👀 and most of them will have very bright colours.

It’s so true you don’t need a lot of money, personally I have had success getting furniture really cheap on various second hand marketplaces then painting it and changing drawer pulls and whatnot :) sometimes if you are doing multiple colours you can just get a sample pot of paint which also brings down the cost. Moving as a maximalist suuuucks, I found vacuum seal bags pretty useful for clothes and plushies.

As someone who has moved a lot, one thing worth noting is that if you don't want to break your back lifting heavy boxes like books and such, pack lighter things with the heavy so it's balanced and easy to lift. Stuffed animals and pillows are great fillers. Sometimes clothes but they can get heavy too.

What a wonderful room! Makes me so happy to see all the effort for the space. My advice for moving if you have a lot of items is buying a bunch of jumbo laundry bags, they're cheap, reusable and have a zip. It saves on moving space instead of large cumbersome boxes and if you bought them in a rainbow theme you could even keep them on display in your room afterwards. For more fragile items if they're not clothes, bags and plushies rolling it in bubble wrap or paper would work. It's best to have small boxes and bubble wrap for figures if you don't have the original box, hope this helps. 🌈❤🧡💛💚💙💜🌈

I love your rainbow room! I think most adults would LOVE to have their own space outside their shared areas. Our townhouse is teeney tiny but I did create a little chill space in the under the stairs closet area. XD I put art all over the walls, my craft stuff, figures/toys on the shelves...a personal space is so important imo.

I come back to this video every now and then because I just adore your style and decor SO much! I also just love you as a person and I remember even seeing you on hooked to look! Your room also gives me so much inspiration for my room, being a maximalist myself. Though my room isn’t so much decora, it’s got more of a colorful kidcore kinda vibe and my walls are mostly covered and a lot of my decor is funky and cute! You guys listen to her, My two kuma bears looked depressing, I thought It was the end of me as a first time collector, until I started diying outfits for them, now they look alive and cute lol. (Tip) I wrap lace on my kuma bears ears making it look like Chun li buns. It suits so well, I even wrapped extra lace as a skirt too lol. And my bed that also looks depressing (Ikea black malm) I plan on getting laura ashley inspired fabric sewing it into a headboard cover. It'll make my bed look rich lol revamped. And for the bed sheet I want a mix of solid color and pattern, something clean and not too chaotic. The main topic is to make the room look neat.
