I like comparing the differences between Siege and CoD like the differences between League of Legends and DOTA2. In LoL you interact primarily with your opponent. You have abilities that have short cooldowns that are also primarily skillshots. This lets you poke your opponents and encourage constant interaction. DOTA2 has long cooldowns on abilities, turn ratios, items like armlet that have to be managed, and creep denial, and camp stacking that encourage interaction with the environment. CoD has fast reloads, longer ttk, and faster ADS. These work together to encourage interaction with your opponent. Siege has a very destructable maps, longer ADS, shorter ttk, and slower reloads. These all encourage interacting with the game's environment. Focusing on environment and systems is like playing poker. You strategize to give yourself the best odds of winning and then hope for the best. Focusing on interacting with opponents is like chess. Neither game is better. They just have different experiences.
