She isn't just a simple graphic designer. She studied it but then got roped into the 9th SFB before becoming a White Tiger (707th Brigade) herself while using her tech specialties into her mission. Her great physique playing with guys with sports like soccer and baseball alike during her teen made her an excellent sportsperson if she did not enlist herself into the army thus she's extremely fit and adept in mountaineering which she promptly picked up during her initiation into the 9th SFB.

However, she excelled with whatever PT they threw at her when she enlisted into the ROKA and coupled with her expertise, she got roped into the 9th SFB where she took up extreme skills like mountaineering which, she excelled also. Then due to her wanting to join Rainbow, she had clashes with her superior but then somehow she got in again due to her extreme physique, tenacity, discipline and also both her combat and technical skills.

@RandomOrForgotten THAT'S THE POINT! That general was a cockblocking sucker who blocks her chances from getting into a better team despite being told she had the qualities to do so. Green Berets that had went on trainings with her praised her skill and craft and those that knew her even invited her to be inducted into the 707th and when she did, she did not show loyalty to the general which, tbh, is correct. You show loyalty to your country, not the person who leads it. However, Kuh wanted people to swear extreme loyalty to him and Grace was having none of it and that's why he butted heads with her and blocked every move she did. Plus, her tech skill was what helped her get into a ROKA unit easily and her rough nature got her a spot with the 9th SFB where she picked up the other skills along the way. Even when she was in 9th SFB initially, she was just seen as a tech specialist where many SFs actually employed but then as mentioned, she picked up more and more skills even to a point of picking up breach & clear tactics which made her famous and recommended to be with the 707tth. A person doesn't have to pick up one thing to be in a SF. Some SF's regulations are way lower than other nation and they still managed to do it. I've known guys who knew absolutely nothing when being roped into their respective SF unit except being pretty good at either marksmanship or CQB skills but then when they entered, they learnt array of stuff and became masters of it along their SF way. You don't have to be a know-it-all to be in an SF and Grace is one such person. Her tech skill is her main focus on why Rainbow wants her but her other skill which she mastered plus her physique helped her gain prestige amongst SF members and her sheer attitude to challenge authority when she knows the command was wrong was the fundamental backbone of what Rainbow is.

I remember to close quarters training in the Canadian army and the biggest thing that was pushed was zero hesitation, if the guy if front of you dropped you just stepped over and got rid of the threat at all costs.
